hi,i am currently new to SEO,just wanted make some enquiry here.
I am currently having my own individual wordpress site and i have done many research regarding how to do SEO. What i got from all those research is by :

1. Building backlinks(social bookmark,article submission,search engine submission,website directories,web 2.0,build high pr profile,blog commenting,forum posting,pdf linking) (most important to-do-task)

2. Create High Quality Content (very important too)

3. On page optimization (page speed,User Interface,robots txt,sitemap and etc...)

Is there any other things we need to do in order to increase site ranking?please do advice me

First you have to learn the keyword research,because thats the important thing on which you're gonna do seo and rank those.

i did keyword research using google adwords, let's say my site is about gambling,i am providing tutorials and guides to people to learn how to play poker.So normally,all gambling industry keyword's are almost the same?If that so,how im suppose to rank up my site?

Here is a to-do list:

1) Keyword research (you can find long-tail to get edge).
2) On-Page optimization
3) HQ content copyscape passed.
4) Linkbuilding - HQ links on tier 1 then LQ link on tier 2/3.

I tried the rank, the more traffic into the site with organic keyword.

Then your ranking will further increase.
That's what I learned

You mean insert keywords with low/high volume but mostly bid high by most users?

If it's a new website be careful not to get a G sandbox penalty with too much SEO early on. You can drip in links with HQ content towards the start of your campaign and get more aggressive with authority.

I agree that you need to narrow down your keyword(s). Once you do this, you will be able to move on to other aspects.
