I run an SEO agency. Just wanted to share the results that we achieved for a client in the web application business.

Clicks have grown to 300-400% and the ROI is already positive in 7 months. The client spent about $12000 on the services which included strategy, audit, keyword research, on-page optimization, rewriting content for money pages, fixing technical issues, link-building, and many more.

A little side-note:

Communication with customers is hard, because they have a small understanding of how SEO works and that there should be instant results. SEO is a long process

You won't notice the results at first, or they might seem insignificant. But by seeing the big picture and by thinking long-term, the small things produce huge results.

Good luck mate. :)

Agreed. many persons want quick result. but nowadays seo is not easy work. we have to do lot of work. we have to patience get good results.

He mentions " link-building," so yes :)

The majority of newbies think you build 5 links and 20 days later you are page 1 for any keyword.

SEO has become ever so much more technical now in terms of all new factors to put in place.
Right I saw it but it's blackhat then isn't it?

Good work on that mate.
SEO has always been the long game for the patient ones.
There is no shortcuts in building a strong foundation, one does sees a glimmer of hope when attempting to blast their way through but that never last.

How dare you shatter my dreams of buying $1 PBNs and be page 1 20 days later :(

Wow, this is an impressive result. But I don't think it is Whitehat since you clearly stated that you acquired links for your client.

Whatever it is, nice results you have there. Doesn't matter how you got there in my opinion. If left to Google they'd just kill everyone(sites) not paying for Google ads.

If links were acquired just by creating great content and outreaching to other bloggers, without paying them, that would be White hat, right?

So Google can't tell if I paid for the links or not. Anyway, those are just labels. Link-building is an important part of SEO. No spam, auto-generated links, PBN's are involved, which would be considered really black-hat.

Communication is hard because many people are scamming in the SEO industry. After all, the short-term results are not visible, and it's tough to measure if someone did a good job or not at first look when you are not a SEO guy...
This industry is about buying/selling promises, case studies (faked or not :) ) selling skills, and customer service - prove that I am wrong.

You are correct. But promises won't feed you in the long term. If that's the way someone works, then they need to find new suckers all the time.

Results provide long-lasting relationships and income.

They can stick to one buyer for months, telling them lies about indexing time, google updates, and so on. That sucks tbh

Well, as long as you got the links & decent on-page, you can surely rank,
Sticking the HQ type of links would guarantee the long-term rankings,
Keep it up dude, this is what we live for :D

Guest posts are considered whitehat even by Google. So, link building is a part of the process in SEO.
no its not, google doesn't like artificial link building. no matter how you try to hide it, as soon as you start building links on purpose its not whitehat anymore.
not that i care, just saying.. i dont do much whitehat as i couldnt care less what google thinks. what counts is getting sites ranked and blackhats are always a step ahead of whitehats ;)
