White hat, PR link building works, and it works like magic!

Consistently getting links from high-tier, press websites will boost your rankings like almost no other SEO activity, and the chart here is yet another proof of that.

We've started PR link building for this website in March-April, and in about 3 months, the results kicked in. Since then, we've built / EARNED a total of 26 high-tier backlinks for this website, with multiple PR campaigns - that is about 2-3 links per week, on average. Mostly homepage links.

The image below is a great spectacle to see, and we can observe the same pattern on all websites where we ramped up this type of link building.

"So where can I BUY these PR links to my website?" - I often get asked.

The answer is, you can't buy them - these links need to be earned, by providing valuable stories and content to journalists.

HERE IS HOW TO DO IT:

✅ Choose 10-20 news websites where you want to get featured

✅ Bring the team together and come up 10-15 story ideas

✅ Start filtering out those ideas, and choose 1 that you'll execute

✅ Find all relevant journalists on the above websites

✅ Gather data, and create a press release with the story

✅ Pitch the story to the journalists above

✅ Enjoy the links pouring in

It seems more like the HARO method than pure PR IMO. From what I see on your screenshots, you are providing great stories to reporters who then include a link to your website, while PR would be a complete article about your website.

I can assure this works if done right and can help your site achieve authority quickly. The hard part however is achieving these links.

Journalists are smart and they know how the concept of link building works, the popular ones get 100s of such emails everyday. If the linked url doesn't perfectly blend with the subject, this wont work at all. To gain that trust, pitch them the first story with no links and they are likely to accept the second story with a link.

The chances are high when pitched to no so popular authors and contributors.

Solid idea, but would like to know more details - how the pitch looks like, how to gather journalists' information, etc... Let me know if you've got more info on this!

Yes this works and it's not actually even the common way to do PR because there is no mass mailing to journalists.

With this, it really is 1 story to 1 journalist and no mass syndication. I always wanted to try this but when you are not writing your own PR's (and those sites require top-tier writers) then this becomes a very complicated and costly operation.

Then again, links from sites like dailymail are priceless.. even if they are nofollow.

Nothing ever works like magic. As you saw there is a fair amount of work involved.
