Hi guys,
The siteground charges us a few dollars for one website the first year, but why do they charge us more than 100 dollars the second year?
which wordpress hosting is the best choice for us?

P.S. I'm not a hosting seller, I'm curious about your choice.

I'd recommend CloudWays (on top of DigitalOcean). It's easy to use and value for money. If you need a managed solution, WPX is also good.

For $100, you could get a vps that is at least 10 times faster than Siteground's mediocre service.

It will be $100 more the following year because of: THEY CAN. They know that the people who pay for their "hosting solutions" don't know how to migrate their site and they make it difficult to do so, so you need to hire a Dev or cloud engineer.

To tell you the truth, self-managing your own VPS is VERY simple - there are guides and documentation available that make things very simple. If you're just getting started, I recommend Linode. AWS and GCP for when your operation grows to be massive.

Honestly at that price just spin up a Digital Ocean or Vultr droplet and you will get much better performance at cheaper rate. On top of that, add Varnish cache with WP Rocket and you will crush GTMetrics 100/100/100

Yes, for those who know how to develop some functions, it's easy. But for me, it's difficult :weep:

Namecheap will cost you less, VPS @ vultr/hetzner/cloudways/whatever is recommended if you know how to manage it.

sounds like you need a managed solution then.
Shoutout to WPX, their manage hosting solution is great. CS is helpful and prices are decent and I would even consider cheaper to some other managed solutions.
Another shoutout would be Cloudways, they may use Digitalocean/Vultr/AWS/GC as their base hosting, but you are paying extra for their support and their support is pretty good.

The reason for Siteground charging more than $100 for the second year of hosting is likely due to the introductory pricing strategy that many hosting companies use to attract new customers. Often, companies offer a low introductory price for the first year, but the price increases to a regular rate in subsequent years.

As for which WordPress hosting is the best choice for you, it depends on your specific needs and budget. Though I will suggest Bluehost and Hostinger. They are cheap and reliable. Check their renewal charges also.

my vote goes to wpx too

it’s for beginners, but learn to use Vultr high-frequency

If you want to go with shared hosting:

rocket
wpx
are great in terms of quality & performance but are pricey.

hostinger
is also a good provider in the budget category.

My personal opinion get a VPS, install a free control panel like cyberpanel, hestiacp, cloudpanel etc
Or get a cheap control panel like directadmin.
A VPS gives you more control over the resources and it's not a rocket science to learn basic management and optimization with YouTube and AI's help.

Another option will be cloudways that takes care of VPS management and is not very high price.

I have learnt myself and moved over to VPS and cloud providers like DO, Vultr, Linode, AWS, Azure, OC.

For me now CloudWays is the best, but many friends recommend to use Vultr.
