Which TV to buy?

True shit, havent had issues so far

Yeah but you only registered today. Give it a few days.

hahaha not sure why I'm trying to break your buzz sorry I'm just fucking with you bro you know I love you :p

Oh the $500 that you sent arrived on Wise, thanks. I'll be ordering the TV first thing in the morning.

So since I don't really watch TV, I have nothing to compare to really. I thought maybe the TV will be too big considering the viewing distance.

According to this article: https://blog.rentacenter.com/what-size-tv-is-too-big/

In general, a 50-inch TV is best viewed from 6-7 feet away. That's exactly how much I have in my living room between couch and TV.

So we're good then, getting it.

According to this article:

if you don't watch tv, why you are annoying us with this stupid thread of 3 pages of tv, who knows what a tv is anymore?

Go buy an aquarium instead :D

Well, I don't, but don't make me list my reasons why I'm buying a TV again :D

This is what you need, Sony A95K QD-OLED real brand and modell. Now you can close this thread, mission completed.

Oh sorry...I forget already.

Can you tell me why you buy one please? as a favor for a bro

If it's as a favor for a bro.

I have a TV stand but no TV. Doesn't feel right.

If anyone comes over and they wanna watch TV, let them.

My internet service provider offered me free TV channels because it's their birthday. I accepted. So I need a TV to put the channels lol

I would like sometimes to watch a movie or a TV show or tennis on a big tv, not always watching on the little lap top screen.

Inflation is eating away at my money. Cash is, you know, anything could happen. So I'm looking to put some cash into things.

And I guess if I think about it real hard I could come up with more reasons...

Someone visits my place, my TV bigger than theirs, they get impressed/jelly, fuck em! (I don't normally pay attention to this crap but I know other people do. Like when someone comments on what someone else is wearing. Like, what the fuck? I haven't even noticed. How did you notice? How did you know their clothes are XYZ? Like, where did you learn that? Why would you learn that? Why would you care about it? That's crazy!). So I guess I also wanna get it to fuck with people :p

This last point, I'm reminded of a scene from a movie, the last few seconds:

Porn. I never watched porn on a big ass TV. You better believe imma give that a shot :D

So yeah, there you go. Maybe I could come up with more reasons, but you got enough.

Saying Toshiba in the same sentence as Nokia old power phone, is as tasteless as a fish on the barbeque.

Okay, granted Nokia 3310 > Toshiba

This is true. I mean, Nokia 3310 > Nuclear Bomb

Nokia 3310 > hottest chick on the planet

Nokia 3310 > 10,000 Bitcoin

Nokia 3310 > $10 Billion dollars

I gave a bad example, apologies :p

Now we talking, getting there .. Did you checkout my tip on tv for you?

This one?

Sony A95K QD-OLED

Not really, because...

The only requirement I really have is for the TV to be big, and to have the HDMI port or some sort of way to connect the lap top or hard drive to it. Also to not cost millions of dollars (I know you guys always want to spend millions on everything, but hold your horses)

Clearly you disrespect me by not reading my opening post

cut it off?
transgender operation

Noooo. You never cut it off. You only have the one. It never grows back! No no no you never ever ever do these things oh no no no please stop no no.....

So the TV arrived. I had some issues and whatnot, but it's all good I got it working.

Of course, A LOT of my movies and tv shows throw errors such as "File not supported" and "Video codec not supported", even though the files are MKV/AVI/MP4 and the TV is supposed to support them. But then some MKV/AVI/MP4 files it does support. For example, none of the "DVDrip" ones are supported.

Granted, in order to save on space I have historically downloaded the mid-size files. You know, the 800MB per movie type thing. DVDrips, AXXOs. Still, I mean, I didn't go for the 400MB pixelated crap. I always felt as though the files I'm getting are medium quality. My TV is medium quality, they were supposed to jell well together! :p

Anyways fuck it, I opened my movies hard drive and went through my favorite movies, movie after movie that I like until I find one that's gonna play, and I said to myself imma watch the first one that plays.

Scarface it is

p.s legal disclaimer - i always buy DVD for every movie and TV show I watch :D
