I agree entirely with your point of view. However, I still using Ahref, RankerX and GSA, It's useful for me. I have also multiple domains rank for your keywords in SERPs (3000 - 5000 visitors/day) . It all depends on how you are going to use it. Your strategy of using this tool is the key of getting your keyword phrases ranked on top of search engines. It doesn’t matter if you build your backlinks manually or outsource someone else to build backlinks for you, they all can be considered spams in the eyes of Google if you do not have a plan or strategy.

I personally find RankerX the most useful tool now days. GSA SER is awesome because you can write your own plugins for it.

RankerX is good because it's versatile. You can use it for ranking videos, local seo (map embeds, etc), and just about anything. You can also scrape and add your site lists although it's not guaranteed to post to all of them.

It'll cost you around $100 per month to operate RankerX when you factor in VPS, proxies, captcha costs, etc. Maybe less. Plus you would still need to pay the monthly subscription fee. It's worth it but might be a bit out of your budget at the moment. Keep hustling and you'll have the $ in no time.
 
I dont know why everyone in this specific forum loves rankerx, I dont find it that relevant.

W/e I do own and use GSA SER/CA, Rankerx, scrapebox with its premium plugins, intagram and twitter bots.

I can not recommend you to buy, 2017, gsa ser, you will lose money, you need lists, proxys,vsps, and the ca to be able to ... build some 3 tier links.

I can recommend you scrapebox and the expired domains plugin, both are like 90? bucks and works as good as DHG that is like 100 / month.


In the other hand, feel free to buy in the marketplace services if you dont want to waste your time but as someone said, most likely this people recommending "the only tool 2017 is to buy " are associated or selling their products. You can do pretty much every thing with the tools I have mentioned way more cheap and without depending on no one

For Off page link buinding

GSA Search engine ranker. You can build backlinks to all tiers.

Scrapebox only for scraping not for posting. You can use it for lower tiers for comment blasting which is not worth. Go for GSA SER.

Also you need GSA Captcha breaker.

No matter which software you buy you still need private proxies, VPS (do not use it your home pc it's not worth). This includes to GSA SER as well.

With GSA SER you need least

For premium list - $30 - $60
For proxies - - $20 - 50
For VPS - $30 - $90
For emails - $5 - $25

If you want to post for web 2.0 (which is highly recommended will cost $14 + 2captcha credits )

These are monthly costs and cost depend on your scale :).

If you are not ready to spend for these every month and learn don't buy that and you will start to loose money. But if you do right you can meet your ROI in no time.

GSA Search engine ranker. With that, you can build web 2.0 (by using serengines). You can use for T2 - T3 and all lower tiers. It supports social bookmarking sites ,networks , forums , comments , article directories you name it. Like i said if you subscribe for serengines it's not only for T2 , T3 also for T1.

Did you even read OPs post ? How do you going to build backlinks with Yoast. Yoast is a wordpress plugin which helps to optimize (IMO over optimize lol) content.Nothing than that.

like @bekemew said, Rankerx and GSA are the only working ones right now.

However, I believe the only tool u need nowdays is Ahrefs for all analytics and keyword research needs. As for backlinks you need to buy them. Whether aged web 2.0, aged domains, or pbn links it's ur choice. You can build web 2.0 manually but you gonna need really really weak keywords.

As for using tools to build links, I can't see any benefit from it nowdays0

How do you going to build backlinks with Scrapebox? It can only blast for comments. You will get de-indexed in no time. Scrapebox is good for scraping, formatting URLs not for build backlinks.You can find expired domains with that even that it's a headache.I use myself scrape box for lot of task like everyone. Not for posting.

I am a newbie to link building and GAS SER is little expensive so I am buying Scrapebox within in few days after doing more research.

I would go with gsa search engine ranker.With that you can scrape as well as create accounts,post.SB still use for many purpose but not to link building.It never used to build baclinks it used to blast comment ages ago.Try ranker x or gsa search engine ranker for link building.
 
To scrape scrapebox better than Gscraper (they block public proxies and before that it was better ). For link building GSA SER. Two powerful software do and use for different purposes.

search engine ranker has a scraper but scrape box doesn't have a poster except for comment poster which also support in ser. gsa ser is the best link builder with almost everything.
 
So I think if the budget is around $100, it is a tough call. If you purchase GSA, you'd probably need their Captcha Breaker, otherwise, it wouldn't work. And if you are using Captcha Breaker, you will need another captcha solving tool that uses human to solve - DBC, 2Captcha, etc, if you intend to build links that are a little better (top tier links). And for GSA, you'll need proxies as well, otherwise, you will get warnings here and there. You will also need to invest into an auto approve link list as well. For Scrapebox, although the methods are a little limited as compared to GSA, still, Scrapebox comes with so many additional free tools that added tremendous value to the tool. For me, I'd recommend getting all the tools, but GSA still has a little bit more mojo when building links.

Ahrefs bundled with similarweb and some basic spreadsheet knowledge will provide you everything you need. As you go you will encounter with the need to hide your IP (not mentioning any company now) and that's also something to keep in budget.

If you need to filter domains by tier only - Moz free toolbar will do. If you need more complex competitor analysis - ahrefs + similarweb are the way to go.

I guess it will depend on the scale, I use scrapebox and it's an amazing tool that sorts most of my needs. But I'll also use the free tries from Moz open site explorer to get ideas where to go looking for links (from competitors ofcourse)

Screaming frog is another one you must have for crawling your own site and its free up to 500 pages. I use it to organize all my URLs and do the on-page SEO correctly before hunting for links.

I love building links on Quora and these also end up in direct sales, the best idea is to use Google advanced search to find the perfect questions to answer. I have used the site very successfully to drive traffic and sales to my own sites as well as for clients!

Agreed! spreadsheet and good Organization are your best tools! (scrapebox is useful though!) Find links from competitors first and make a plan to go after that. I also like user submitted content sites like medium, steemit and Quora for link building. Just don't be making crappy content, write up something good and share the crap out of it on groups and pages. I use FB, twitter, Google plus and Linked in for this.
