Which SEO Strategy for this "case" ?

Just started a new project on a small niche, some months ago (January), my main competitor, which is ranking #1 on G, is making me pretty much nervous.

Why?

His money site has 33 DR (Ahrefs), and 13 UR, so you gonna ask me where is the problem.

His money site has 120K BL, from about 430 Ref domains, all his BL are spammed trash, mostly Chinese high DA domains, which you can't even reverse, also some 2.0 which I can't even class as T2 because the content is ugly as fk....

I can even see him losing his BL and RD every days, for weeks, but every ~ 2months he pushes again some rankerx session I guess...

Still he is ranking #1, and I'm not, and my content is 100x better, I am not sure which strategy to go, some days I am getting so salty that I want to go super-aggro mode by getting some trash links too but at the end of the day I just tell myself to not.

I have to take action right now, I can't wait anymore, I already did way too much, and I am losing money ofc as he is sucking all my traffic.

advices would be appreciated, I am also posting his stats.

Keep scratching my head and thinking, how tf I gonna beat my competitor, if he got over 100k+ backlinks and over 1000+ ref domains.

I tried using whitehat method, even with only 50+ backlinks (guest post) it already cost me tons of money .
Not to mention HQ PBN backlinks too.

Not just you.

Maybe we overthinking too much about Google? Thinking that Google is very intelligent etc?
While in reality, their algo is not perfect. Cant differentiate between high quality link and spamming link.

Who knows.

It's just Ahrefs not Google. You can't look at ahrefs metrics as an axiom.

Remember that there is much more Google algorithm factors than only content and backlinks. IMHO the most crucial is authority and age of domain.
