By that example, I guess I'm an entrepreneur, by when I describe myself I'm using the term business owner.
Always add value my friend, don't just buy for $1 dollar and sell for $2. That's some low level basic shit we do when we are getting started on our journey, but we gotta advance in our careers as "businessmen" and learn how to take lower value items, process them, refine them and turn them into higher-value items. In that sense, I think even "infopreneur" should just be under entrepreneur.

That is an iterative process, it feels like its easier to just do a simple thing find some profitability then try to improve it. Rather than start an ambitious value add then hope it makes money.

I Would consider myself a Entrepreneur :)

I don't think entrepreneur and infopreneur are much of different.
In a value addition sense.

So entraprenuers make better cocktails, and infoprenuers are good at writing things. Hmmm no competition really! Can I have ice cubes in that!? :D

All these prenuer thingies just annoy me.

I have a business, no matter how innovative my business is, I'm a business owner. Am I adding value? Of course I do, otherwise, my client would've gone for cheaper alternatives.

People call themselves entrepreneurs so much, it lost all meaning by now. Every kid who starts spamming his affiliate link on forums calls himself an entrepreneur.

The easier something is to do, the easier it is for others to do the same and compete with you. Stay away from easy business models; affiliate marketing, drop shipping, article writing.... you gotta put in the work and do the hard stuff if you want to earn money for more than 2 months. Otherwise you'll end up having to go back to step 1 and start over again and again.

Agreed. Though some take shortcuts and just regurgitate rehashed old material and try to sell that shit. I don't mean that stuff.

I mean the ppl that have walked the walked and can give unique insights from their personal experiences.

Haha you're so right.

My dad did that for 40 years. He's broke now and he barely provided for his family. He even sold one apartment in 2000's to buy these $1 items and sell them for $2. We were in debt for 10 years because of that...

I'm doing affiliate marketing and CPA because I have no money to invest in business, only methods. So I am a fakepreneur. :( Still trying to turn $1into $10 instead of $1 for $2.

He said it was the easiest job ever. But the consequence is struggle of his family.

Doesn't have to be that bad. You can still make 100's of 1000's which would make you a millionaire in many countries over the world.

If you're from the US or some other tier 1 country, it kinda makes no sense and even mcdonald's pays better.

Sorry about your dad. He did what he thought was best with the info he had, can't really blame him for that. He meant well, but business is not straight forward... many ppl risk it all and it doesn't work out. It's part of life.

The best way to make money when you have no money is to work, learn skills then work in exchange for money, for example learn how to write sakes copy, convert traffic via email, build WordPress sites, rank local sites in Google, basic photo/video editing ... find some basic things you can learn in 2-6 hours from watching YouTube videos then go help people using your knew skills via local classified sites, forums like this one, Facebook groups, local business association meetups ... just go be helpful without even charging money at first ... eventually you'll land your first few clients, treat them well, over deliver and the word will spread and you'll get more people coming to you without advertising.

Save, save, save.... then eventually start doing some entrepreneurial ventures that require capital. But whenever possible, don't use debt or credit, only use other ppl's money once your business ideas are validated and you want to scale up a sure thing.

Good luck to ya.

P. S also look into cloud architecture for $$$,it's a really high paying skill worth learning.

P p.s you're not a fakepreneur, you're still learning... you'll get there, just keep grinding.

I would consider myself an entrepreneur but I started small with minimal financial risk so I guess businessman would be a better tittle.
