The more you customize your operating system, the easier it is to fingerprint and track. Custom android roms are simple to identify since most people don't use them. There’s no privacy there. No way to use it consistently for modern day blackhat tasks for any dev that is not truly skilled.Pretty much summed it up.
Depends on how you plan to use it. There’s a lot of freedom that Android offers to devs thats clearly absent on iOS (although most of these features wouldn’t be needed by regular users).
Android is implemented by several manufacturers with many different specifications. iOS is implemented by one with nearly identical specifications for the masses that use them. It is easier for iOS to be undetected by modern fingerprinting mechanisms.
Granted, I use both android and iOS for my purposes. Both work as long as the settings are correct.
Using both gives the most freedom for some blackhat tasks.
Is one better than the other? I don't think so. Both are used by billions of people. Why select one when you can have both?
