Which is better for SEO?

Hey everyone,

Got a simple poll to get everyone's opinion. When mentioning your country location in your websites meta title, is it better to use the country code or countries full name.

Example:

Option 1: Australia
Option 2: AU

Place your vote in the poll.

My vote is that the country code performs better. I'll need to keep testing but might just be a coincidence.

Personally, I think the code is the way to go. Keeps things short and sweet, you know? But I get that some people might prefer the full name for clarity's sake.

I dont think its make a huge diference .Just that when you put the name of country be careful to not make your title very long

Both options are ok.
 
I mostly prefer country code which is short and works well
 
If you are in Australia, doesn't matter -

if you are selling from other country to Australia, I recommend Australia
 
using the country code in the meta title can help with local SEO, as it signals to search engines where your website is based. However, using the full name of the country can also work, especially if your target audience is not familiar with the country codes.
Ultimately, it depends on your specific situation and goals, so testing both options is a good idea.
 
Country code is better because you can have a longer (and more creative) title. Google's algo is smart enough to know that both the full name and code are the same thing
 
WordPress is more scalable in terms of SEO than Wix. There is a reason why WordPress is the leading CMS in the world
 
Do variation - use both in meta tags, in some meta au, and in some Australia.
