I have an article directory based in wordpress.
On google analytics i have 50-100 unique visitors and 200-300 pageviews.
I am currently using shared hosting from mytruehost.com
but they disabled my hosting saying that your hosting is disabled due to high server load.
As my site is an article directory so some bots also register to my site( i think that causes server load)
i have never purchased VPS or dedicated server before.I only purchased cheap shared hosting.
Please suggest which hosting should i go for?
i have few questions.Please help
tell me what is the difference between dedicated server and vps?
Managed vps and unmanaged vps?
someone suggested me to go for VPS.
Found one site with cheap vps vpscheap.net 256Mb ram which cost only 6$
is 256Mb ram enough for my site?
when i asked vpscheap.net that whether they provide cpanel for hosting my site.
he said we provide you control panel for your VPS, not for webhosting.
what does it mean (i cant host my site?)
Please answer my questions .i am a complete noob to all this.
Thanks
Saurabh

research a little in hosting section of BHW, and choose the best one for your needs. Some owners of hosting companies are also members here contact them and let them know what you want.

Well try out Google..you get most of answers there..You will have to wait otherwise for the able person to answer the question well this query will be learning for me as well

go for geniushost.in best canadian webhosting with pure ssd drive, cloud linux, lite speed sever, fast speed, no downtime.

need more opinions of the experienced members

You can host your website on a VPS/Dedicated server. The difference between a VPS and a Dedi is that a VPS is one computer ran on some form of server software and you are on a shared server. A Dedi is a much larger version of that, you have access to all the resources of the machine you are on and in control of your own server.

Personally, for a VPS or a Dedi, I'd got with Hostgator or Wooservers. They both have good plans and fast customer service whenever an issue arises.

To throw in my 2 cents, I've never had a problem with hostwinds, have 4 sites I believe up with them, support always comes around within a half hour

go with godaddy and use coupon codes, they seem really expensive but if it's your first time buying and you use coupon codes you could get 70% off the economy plan is $4 a month and offers 100gb of storage and unlimited bandwidth. That's $48 a year without any coupons.

I also read a lot of good reviews on hawkhost and stablehost.

Shared hosting for 100-200 is nothing on shared hosting.. Try to install cache plugin and disable the no use plugins.

VPS is still a shared PC with other sites but you have more control over resources

Dedicated is more expensive but its only you using the resources so your better able to keep your sites running optimally.

I started with Shared went to VPS and Finally dedicated -- for me with not alot of server knowledge I found the dedicated box way better than the first 2 .. my Sites always load fast and alot less issues.

WiredTree is what I would suggest - but you pay a little more of course.

As someone suggested above some plugins may help you optimize your site first before you need to up your hosting budget.

i have hostwinds also with a lot of sites no issues so far

Sounds like you need to setup some caching.

If your only getting 100-200 uniques a day, than you can technically run this on a 128mb vps. W3 Total Cache or a similar plugin will help you big time.

http://lowendbox.com/blog/bluevm-18year-512mb-and-29-95year-1gb-kvm-in-los-angeles-or-buffalo/ - This offer is hard to beat atm. $18/year for 512mb ram.

Feel free to PM me if you need help setting this up.
than you sir so much for helping me.
i will need your help in setting it up.you are very helpful.
also i have made an imacros script (firefox) through which we can increase website traffic .Please let me know if you need it.i will give you free.

Think of having a deal with readymakers or rivalhost.
Their service is able to meet the needs of any discriminating webmaster.
Prices are competitive and uptime is high.

I think you are mistaken, the OP said he wanted a good host, not one of the shitest about.

I would use Hostwinds But wait for BlackFriday
