Which Gurus Are Worthless?

Shoe Money by far, his blog is full of fucking tripe, usually him pulling a stupid face wearing a new t-shirt or post some random crap about his mobile phone while never giving out anything of substance.

Thanks to Herron and WizGizmo for their particularly helpful and intelligent replies.

And for what it's worth, I also think both Jimmy D. Brown and Kim Roach offer some valuable information - especially for noobs.

pretty much all of them, true gurus arent out there to teach, they are out there to make money for themselves, those that claim to be a guru and are selling marketing packages... lol

Actually, people can learn a lot from these "gurus" but not in the way that most people go about doing it. What I mean is that these guys have people buying their stuff like hotcakes, even when they already own other products from the same person. Ergo, don't do what they tell you, but do what they do. Learn by studying what they do... BS to the max lol

Rich Jerk is worst in my opinion. I'm judging him purely based off the youtube videos he uses to advertise his site. I have nothing to learn from that pathetic loser and his rent-a-girlfriends.

edit: Thought I should clarify my argument because it's not just a personal attack. Everything he uses to advertise his site - branding girls asses, pretending to have a brothel of girls he feeds morning-after pills to - is so obviously fake that he has no credibility. He want's people to believe so bad that he's some kind of big shot when he's so obviously not, and then he claims to know all the secrets to making money. Who in the right mind would believe him?

You are right. Kim Roach is great too. Forgot to mention her in my post:)
I agree. Kim is one of the few online marketers that gives really good information and isn't afraid of being honest and transparent in her online business.

I think I learn more here than any other "so called gurus"

They never tell you the complete course or techs, that's why I unsubscibed from most of the lists and use temp emails from now on
Or you could setup an email address to collect their marketing emails (completely separate from your real email address) and periodically go through them to find some real gems. Sure, you have to go through a lot of crap, but I've gotten a few real good copy from some email messages I've received from the "gurus".

This thread is informative but I have a question or two. First, John Chow is pretty forthright, saying "I Make Money Online By Telling People How I Make Money Online ..." The bottom line is that these guys MAKE MONEY and I think you can learn something from all of them. Ripping on them seems hypocritical in a way.

I'm starting a wordpress-mu membership site for newbie marketers that has an affiliate program which I'm going to teach them how to promote, among other things. So the whole point is that I'll make money by teaching them how to make money using the blogs hosted on my server. I was thinking about taking out ads on BHW, hoping that members would here would market it. Is taking out those ads going to be a waste of time and money? I'm also going to take out massive ads on Shoemoney and John Chows sites as well as Wickedfire. So am I going to find my name on a thread like this next week, saying how I'm some kind of asswipe for successfully making money with one of the membership site programs that are being promoted right here on BHW? I'm not going to call myself a guru, but I think that my members might assume that I am one, and I'd lose money if I corrected them and said that I was NOT. How do you handle this?

well, for the people they sell to all of them are worthless.
for people who are trying to sell to newbees and dumb people they are goldmines.

you can a lot from the way they do their business!

those guru`s aren`t good internet marketers, they just are really good sales people. they can sell crap to people and keep them comming back for more.

just another business model.

The worst one that called himself guru is Joel Comm! What a waste of time this damm guy!

The ones that try to sell you more of their shit inside the one you just bought! They really annoy me! Im like fuck off mate, I havent even digested this yet and your selling me more shit! You know the ones, they push a trillion more shit on the page before they tell you thier name. One guru i do like though is a guy called stephen pierce.

all of them are. what u need to understand is all free from here and wickedfire. basically it is all abt marketing and being creative. hone ur creativity where the most traffic is at and u r on ur way to 7 figures per year

Mike Filsaime is the worst guru ever. He looks so stupid
Mike Filsaime is the main guy I'm copying. I'm trying to create a membership site that is better than his and clone + improve upon his autoresponder marketing. Same with Shoemoney. I'm repackaging/polishing PLR/MRR material for this. For example, if it is written I am making it into a video and if it is a video product I'm making it into a DVD.
Comments?

You are doing the right thing. Copying a successful person does not guarantee success but can be very helpful in achieving it. You should also copy Ewen Chia. I don't know how that guy sell so much crap.

Wish you success

Keith Wellman is one of my favorite ass-holes of all time. Truly exudes the 'fake it until you make it' persona. I bought a $497 landing page builder package a couple years ago that was truly a beta product. I don't think crappy even begins to describe it. And I was forced to be a guinea pig to help them fix the bugs in it. He and his gang of money-grabbers wouldn't give me a refund no matter how many times I asked. A real fuck'in scumbag I will never do business with again.
