As suggested in the "Which Gurus Are your Favorite?" thread -which "gurus " you think sell total crap?

I'm positive I'm not the only one who has wasted money on useless ebooks and courses that were either 90% rehashed material from other people or just complete fiction! (before discovering BHW, of course)

Shoemoney is a turd, all he does is blast you with all sort of affiliate links and try to push his shitty tools

They're just "gurus" because they know how to sell a shit wrapped in a present.
IMHO all of those mofos are worthless.. the real gurus would never call them selves that and most importantly they wouldn't even appear in public like that.

While not exactly the answers I was looking for, I wouldn't disagree with any of them. I
It's funny how most people who have been trying to make money online for more than a couple of months all tend to hate the term "guru".

I had actually debated about using it when posting this thread because I suspected this was the response I'd get.

Now I'm thinking I probably should have asked about which "products" instead of the much hated term "gurus" to get the responses I was after to help the noobs avoid wasting time and money.

My apologies to KeineHabe, et al, for your wasting your time.

BTW, two points to theartfuldodger for the most creative response.

Well one guy especially grosses me out - Howie Schwartz I mean wtf, looks like a retard, talks like a retard, sure he knows how to sell stuff, but it just so annoying.. Plus as i remember someone told that this guy only earns money from selling shit to guys like us.

Fortunately I have never bought one single ebook from those "gurus"

After searcing for while there seems to be toooo many "Guru's" making money selling ebooks, I mean, surely the ones that make proper money just sit tight and let it roll in rather than "sell the secrets you need to know".

Thankfully and luckily I stumbled across BHW before letting go of that hard earned cash!

You won't learn anything by disregarding peoples advice because they have a reputation of being a guru. You need to learn to question everything you read but that doesn't mean the info is actually wrong or misleading. Ask yourself if what they are saying will work and if not, what is the better solution. If the information doesn't help you then look at whether it helps others and why.

Guru's are no good because they sell ebooks? They sell ebooks as it provides them with a list of buyers who will pay for what they have to say. You can do that in any market - not just the Internet Marketing niche. They got the buyers in the first place by providing useful information. A list of buyers gives them a long term income stream. They provide this list with more useful info and they will then fork out for the next product the guru releases. It is a business model they have created through hard work and useful information - it is a well known method within the industry. If you already know that information then look at this business model - not whether they can help you out or not.

This applies to heaps of different niches. If you don't agree with what they are selling then look at the reasons why other people are buying it. Always look for ways to adapt these methods to your own niches and products.

this was a wast of time ...thanks i needed a break from new guys telling us that gurus suck...if you want e books on how to do something look at the search feature its great ...it will find things to teach you how to make some great money as long as you go after it...if i can make money sitting at home so can you if you apply yourself instead of starting treads like this.

God, I hate that word 'guru'. Any one else think that it's kinda cringy?

imo, Rick Jerk guy, Joel Comm (Adsense "guru") and Ewen Chia (the guy who kept claimin' he made millions from the internet when in actual fact he's just earning from his "guru" products that made him millions - smart advertising huh?).

Most of the so-called gurus don't really have anything new or outstanding to offer. They DO know how to make their rehashed offers appealing though. They use great looking sales pages, high-impact ad copy, and always have a great back-end or upsell.

One thing I have learned is that methods, in and of themselves, don't work. Instead, YOU must work the method. Don't be fooled by the "Make A Zillion Dollars A Day With One Click Of Your Mouse" stuff. Internet marketing is HARD WORK. But if you are willing to put the time and effort into it and stay focused on one or two projects at the most, without running around like a jackrabbit, constantly chasing the next biggest thing, you CAN make money. And once you DO see that something is working, HIT IT HARD, scale it up, and cash in :)

Very nicely said!

I agree, a waste of time. This kind of thread is useless. If you ask this question to 10 people, you'll get 10 different answers. And those replies badmouthing all top marketers (I don't call them Gurus) in general are absolute nonsense. There are proven marketers out there who give rock-solid advice like Jimmy D. Brown for instance. People who can really teach you something. But, again, ask 10 people about him and you'll get 10 different answers. It all comes down to your personal preferences.

I think I learn more here than any other "so called gurus"

They never tell you the complete course or techs, that's why I unsubscibed from most of the lists
and use temp emails from now on

I have had a few customers call me 'Guru'.

It made my day. :)
