Which game(s) you play when you need a break from IM?

Digger omg i remember that one @Shree ! My father played it in the 80s on intel 286 rig. He is 60 y old war veteran now :) and still plays digger sometimes. I remember more games from that period, like cat alley, sop (some kind of 2D air fighters https://i.ytimg.com/vi/duUbp4qMOaA/hqdefault.jpg ) , blockout ( 3d tetris) , and so much more. I love video games for last 20 years. Played so many different ones :) . Today i own internet caffe and i play games several times a week. I feel truly happy when i play games, and video games are comparable to DRUGS. We do brain "context switch" (IT experts know about CPU context switch) , swap out real life problems, swap in simple game worlds, and we are happy. That can be very dangerous, if play times slip out of control. Never play games to escape reality, only when your life is stable, finances secured, and problems minimal.
I played all existing genres FPS, turn based and real time strategies, simulations, RPGs.
Played on SNES, sega mega drive 2 and game boy in early 90s , and later had everything from 286-386-486-pentium-celeron-pentium 3 and 4 , and i3/5/7.
I will always remember fallout 2 as my first non-linear game (1998) , might and magic series, heroes of MM, command and conquer red alert/generals, unreal tournament, quake, Deus eX, counter strike, neverwinter nights, starcraft, diablo, warcraft, 100s of titles in last 20-25 years
I could write about it for days...
Should i make retro gaming blog?

Yes ... games can get very addictive.

In some countries, gaming addiction has reached alarming levels - http://anonhq.com/south-koreas-video-games-addiction-destroying-future/

That report says some kids play games for as much as 88 hours a week.

When I want some relaxation I go to a spot in Los Santos with Trevor where the police can't arrest me and then I kill 54788 cops and blow 78 helicopters out of the air with a bazooka.

Games are not a waste of time or just for childeren my ignorant friends. It's in fact been proven to enhance your peofessional performance at lease with surgeons in a study that can be read here below. I personally dont have time to play games but I can understand how it might be a excersise for the mind and even therapeutic. So if its going to help you out with your work go on and play call of duty or super mario! I dont play games often but when I do its call of duty. Last time I played, probably a year ago or more.

Additional note, games are only a waste of time when you spend all day and night on them and neglect to ve productive with your own life. Had a friend who I cut from my life he dropped out of highschool to dedicate his life to world of warcraft. But then again now theres people playing games professionally earning millions with sponsorships. Think games are a waste of time now? #owned

Even though I have played thousands of games for me ATM it is only LoL and a game named Rust.

You?
I play LoL so that the community can enrage me and put me back to work.
It kills procrastination in an instant.

The older call of duty's, not the futuristic bs, dragons dogma, fallout 3 & New Vegas, sports, and state of decay

If I need to play...I ***** my gf:D . Haha just joking. I play Overwatch and GTA5 if I need it

I love all MMORPG but apparently no time to play them lol, so I play mobile game when at spare time, pretty relaxing enough!

on and off csgo dota almost destroyed my life its really hard to quit when all of your real life friends are also playing games but after 15 years of playing games with them i finally found the solution to my problem, i had stop hanging out with them because i am now 30yrs old and 5 years married with one boy and most of my friends are older than with with still no girlfriends and still live with their parents. It was a very hard decision to make thats why i made a new account here on bhw to interact again to surround my self with business minded people

BF1 (gets boring real quick if you play alone),

Banished (you start a settlement with 10 people in the middle of nature, basically a survival city building game, very fun but it is very frustrating/difficult)

Hearts of Iron: Darkest hours
Grand strategy game, lets you take control of the Allies or Axis, manage it is economy, technology, army during WWI/ II. Very addicting!

DayZ Standalone
Arma 2 and Arma 3
Squad

Check those out :)

I don't play games anymore. But my favorite game for all times is Age of Empires

I play old nintendo games. They are less addictive and I can switch my mood away from it instantly..

I am a huge fan of Mount and Blade Warband on PC. However I only play it during the weekends. On mobile, I play Clash Royale

Oh shit.. rust was so fun :D! I got lazy and just watch twitch lately.
