Have been using Word for years and still do to this day, not once has it given me issues.

Google docs works good for me

Nowadays, there are some tools that integrate with Word and Google Docs and give you those little content insights like the classic Yoast/Rank math and all that shit.
I'm very used to write straight on the WP Editor, but I cannot count the times that something has broken and the autosave functionality has not saved me. So basically I always have to remind myself that Google Docs is the way to go
The only thing I don't like is that extra HTML preformatting that Google Docs put to the text. I used to use a RPC service that cleaned it before uploading to WP (you could connect it straight to your posts admin system) but now is not working anymore
So, I created for my co-workers and myself a little Google Docs Script that runs any doc I create and emails me the clean HTML. Kind of neat, but some extra steps involved compared to my old RPC system.
Still open to new ideas always

Most of my content is written by my freelance writers. They use MS Word. When I edit the articles and optimize it with keywords and additional content, obviously, I also do it in MS Word.
I don't think of using any other tool since MS Word is doing the job best!
