for me , " always the hard disk " . Ever since I got my first PC in early late 90s till now
from DIY to laptop to pre made

Always is the hard disk fail , whereas others hardware still work despite using for 5, 10 years.

The only hardware that's ever failed for me is my power supply for one of my servers and that's only bc I used a shitty one lol
Keyboards seem to go out on me super quick tho for some reason

oh i forgot beside hard disk is power supply but power supply only once but for all the hard disk.
I don't know why is there a way to so call " preserve, tricks to make your hard disk can work longer ? "

The printer. It's always the dang printer.

hmm seem like i not alone, kinda a lot also HDD

No. It's just ran out of ink, you don't need to buy a new one each time ;)

Only major one I've had on my Mac last 20 years was an old G3 GFX failure but tat's it. My old G4 still goes strong to this day.

GPU by far.. this frankenstein is using PSU from 2 pc's back. but this is like the 4th GPU. (in 12 years)

You know what? My whole life till now I only own one printer that it. Scanner too.
Ironic Both I don't use much.

For me it's the router, I've gone through 3 netgear routers. After about a year of use they started requiring reboots every so many days. I eventually switched to using linksy routers and haven't had the same problem since.

The main hardware (PCs, laptops, monitors, etc.) has never failed on me. For me, it's just the peripherals. Keyboards, mice, speakers, headphones... you name it. Buying expensive gear doesn't help either. These things just break on me all the damn time, no matter the brand.

I remember one time I laid $400 out on a really nice color laser printer...
Broke about a week after the warranty expired.
It lasted for less time then the $80 one I had prior.

I just buy the cheap stuff now too.

Haven't had issues with specific component. But HP laptop wrecks quicker.

Power Supply. My last Power Supply took CPU along with it. And those damn HDMI and VGA cables. I don't know how many times I changed them.

Always the mainboard, no matter what laptop/PC brand. Never had a single HDD failure.
