Hello,

I am starting now with building backlinks and wondering how should i select my anchortexts?

1:1 the site name? Or most common search terms?

All links with the same anchor? Or variants?

Thanks for help

I would advice you to not use the same keyword on all links. Use several keywords, it will look more natural.
Also, do not only link to your mainpage URL, link to single post/pages too.

Check anchor text profile of your competitors and use that as an inspiration.

Mostly likely the homepage will have branded profile while inner pages more keyword rich.

Naked URL will probably be used most often across all pages.

Most important thing to keep in mind is that anchor text ratio counts per page basis.

Thanks!

And with what backlinks should i start? To the main url?
Or to a specific product?

It doesn't matter what you start with.

What does matter is what kind of backlinks you get. If this website is important to you, a moneysite, then stay away from comment-spam and low quality links.

Actually, the anchors depend on the keyword phrase type, target page content, On-page SEO etc.

I prefer to use various types of anchor texts if you working on long-term projects. Else, go with the specific and most targeted one.

Analyze the top 10 competitors’ sites.

you can try anchor text generic

Use a mix of following anchors:
  • site name
  • site name with .com
  • brand name (if differnet from site's name)
  • visit this site
  • your top performing keywords
  • your newest keywords
  • keyword + site name
  • keyword + brand name

It’s better to use a mix of anchor texts. Combine your brand name, generic phrases like click here and some keywords This looks more natural to search engines and helps avoid over-optimization.

Diversify your anchortext with branded names to be safe, also with main keywords and related variations to be more natural. Avoid using too much anchortext that will attract attention
