Which affiliate program for SaaS do you prefer?

I am a long time member here, started making money online through Clickbank after seeing it on this forum
Now that I manage a SaaS platform, I want to create an affiliate program, so that others can promote our SaaS and earn a nice commission.
After researching the affiliate programs for SaaS online, I basically figured out that I can either use one of the bigger players for affiliate software or build our own custom solution through open source software.
My question for you affiliates is:
When promoting a mico SaaS, do you prefer to promote it through a bigger platform (similar to Clickbank, but for Saas) OR do you prefer to promote it through the company's own affiliate platform.

From what I see, promoting it through bigger platform makes it easier for you to get started, but promoting it through company's own affiliate platform probably gives you a better commission percentage.

What do you think?

Signup through Rakuten, you can find SaaS promoters there but the approvals are bit stringent, if you pass through you can hit gold mines.
