Where's the big money?

My sole point about oil trading is I.M. do not seem aware of the vast sums of money involved in other industries. Espeically when they think they have cracked it on $2k month etc.

OK? Any how i was hoping for a discussion..not stupid replies like that. I was hoping for too much?

Want big money? Ecommerce IMO has the best shot at that and also the likely the longest lifespan.

You can go at this a number of ways, shell out the resources to do it yourself OR find someone who has the resources but needs a good SEO guy and work for a % of profits.

You think there's big money in E-commerce? Really? How would you compete with Amazon/Ebay, etc? Where would you edge be? Isn't it too competetive and too easy to enter? You tell me.

I'd rather be a manufacturer i think?

Learn to trade currency. The top traders make an absolute killing! But you would need years of education towards the right system, but overall is a good plan. Like someone said above ecommerce, it uses all internet marketing practices but you are pushing products to consumers, which is most people in this world. Im looking to set up a store soon and make that my sole priority and built it up

Do you think the days of selling info. products is nearing an end? No doubt people are much more selective these days than 6+ years ago.

Personally i think for I.M. niche you have to have your own authority site (s) a few different products, preferably a monthly membership site included and have affiliates promote you. I think there more money in that process than being the affiliate.

Your edge would Social Media...Amazon and Ebay are marketplaces but if you create a brand with a following you can almost create cashflow out of thin air.

Say you owned a widget ecommerce store that ranks top 3 for widgets you likely will do pretty well BUT if you have a fanpage of 50k loyal fans and you have a slow week, a simple 15% off for 3 days coupon might just bring you extra flow at the right time.

i think owning a forex brokerage would be an easier way? Yes some make big money but most lose. I do no think "gambling" fits into my stress fre big money plans. Although having someone trade fx for me is a good investment. thx

IMHO, the only real taste of big money I've had during the last couple of years is by selling IM services to HUGE companies. Fortune 500 companies need backlinks, video views and facebook likes just as much as anyone else.

Before you go out selling this to those guys, remember these points:
1. You need someone that has access to decision makers at these companies, so there must be a legit looking PR company or ad agency in the middle.
2. Do not tell the big co. the details about what you do for them.
3. You need metrics. If the low level managers at the big co. can not see results in the stats, they can not convince the middle level managers to put more money into this.
4. Decision makers at huge companies do not understand IT. They can barely switch on a computer. So dumb it down.

Bad way to look at it. Look at e commerce just like niche content sites that people use Adsense on.

You have to pick a type of product(s) and become an authority in it. I'm no expert, but that's what I would think.

this is exactly what I am talking about...not just the money but the ease of it. There's no doubt selling to big companies, rich people is a much easier business than selling to the ebay crowd, etc...

I know some people making over $1m a year....and they barely "work" now. OK they workled their asses off getting to that position but it's the long slog forever that puts me off in any biz!

BIG money are definitely in IM ask google and FaceBook, LOL !
I really think that you can mak big bank with offline companies providing online services.
And product creation + membership sites.

the good thing aboutt his is I'l lbet 90% of I.Mers would go through the process to land a client like this. So it's not so crowded.

wouldn't this come under new inventions, patnets, own products? In fact it fits them all and proves if you nail everything at the right time you can make a fortune. But I just do not have the foresight to predict these things. And I'll bet for every success there were over 1,000 failures?

Again.....i never once said there isn't big money in I.M.

I would say that the biggest money lies in an IDEA, if you are looking to make money over the internet. You might make money with an ecommerce store, but nothing to beat Amazon or ebay makes; positioning yourself as a different solution is the trick.

We could make money promoting products with squidoo, but nothing close to what the bald owner of Squidoo himself makes.

^^ It's exaclty my point^^ It's nice to make a few $$'s but it's not going to make you rich and it's a grind for life.

Who make sthe most money here?

Ebay:
Paypal
Forex brokers?
Facebook

etc...the millions of users of the owners?

Here's anopther point.....there are some pretty stupid (non street smart. biz savvy)) Dr's, CEO's, Brokers, advisors who just because they go the right qualifications make a very good living.

They wouldn't last 2 minutes in the real biz world. BUT they were smart enough to get well paid jobs. So who's laughing?
