Hi, im an web developer and i want to get into affiliate marketing, i want to make something like a shop and to redirect people to my affiliate links, i only know how to make the site, i dont know where to start with the marketing stuff, where do i find good affiliate programs ?( btw i want to make like a clothing store) can someone give me some advice please? And i looked on amazonAssociates they ask for my site but how can i make the site without the products first?

For amazon, you need to get an approved account but I think they have some terms and conditions for the site you want to create. Check it before going for it.

Check CJ, Shareasale and Linkshare for similar affiliate programs.

Ive seen those sites before, but what if i need to put like my website when i make the account, shall i make a website with some dummy products then after i make the account to put the real products, would that work?

I tried on Shareasale but i need to complete the "Website Information" but i dont have a site right now, and i cant make one without the products so what should i do?

why don't you build a small site of presentation where you tell about your skill also in marketing and affiliate marketing? you should submit that website

Or you can create a small blog about a vertical (health and beauty in example) and again use that website in the form to submit your admission request

I'm operating custom affiliate marketing sites like the one you are looking to create. I created the websites with dummy products scraped from other sites, just to give the merchants an idea of what my website will look like. This should get you accepted into the program but it will still be an uphill battle if you want specific merchants to accept you.

Create a site that is based on clothes. Then write 10-15 contents for targeted keywords. The contents must be more than thousands of words because you need to make it SEO-friendly right? then Optimize it for ON page and off-page and ask for amazon for affiliate association. As far as my experiences the aforementioned steps and one month is enough to get you a good head start.

Amazon just wants to see that you are serious about your business. That's it. And by the way, don't forget to include the "Amazon associate disclosure" statement in your footer or at the last of the contents.

Good luck with the affiliate Journey. :):)

You should have some proof about your work, that's the best way to start with the marketing process. As you already know your niche, clothing store, and you are the developer, you could make some sample site to showcase your skills and your intentions. Then you should research the best networks that are good with the affiliate beginners and try to partner out with them. Most relevant networks will require something from you to show them, so prepare first in order to be able to explain what are your goals are.
