It's been a few years and never could make consistent money, a friend of mine who does $30k/mo does SEO and now after reading some threads on the forum I'm starting to realize SEO has a lot of opportunity and want to get my feet wet. I don't want to waste my time with guru courses, so I opened this thread to ask where do I start with SEO?
Read, learn, test, re-test, test again, split test, repeat, repeat and repeat.
Sadly people think they can learn SEO in a couple of hours then go out and be an expert.
Here's one for you, have a look at all the SEO sellers on here who actually ever post any answers to SEO questions.....

SEO is really not easy, I think reading a lot of books is one way to help you
Anyone can read books, it is about knowing what to do with the knowledge you read. You need to test.

SEO isn't easy at all. You are competing with everyone in the world. And unfortunately, making a thread asking about is a bad start. It's not an info, it's a skill. And a very hard skill to master. Just to give you a good picture, I can dare to say those who are making 30K/Month from SEO as a skill not a service in this forum (Which has Millions of Visitors) are less than the number of your fingers.

First start with on page seo, off page and then technical seo. Those topics are vast area. It took more time to learn.

Excellent site with all the information you need to learn SEO. Also, no matter how much you read/ learn but if you are not applying on any site, it will be useless. So get a cheap domain, and cheap hosting and get started by actually creating a website and then start articles. And continue working on your blog while you are streadily learning SEO.
