Where to host Money Sites?

I am talking about bullet proof hosting 100% secure managed hosting for your money sites.

Only talking about big money sites here not MFA, BANS, Spam sites here.


Who and what are you hosting on?


Just looking for ideas as I am currently with bluehost but they dont offer a dedicated server.

Well, Hostgator is the cheapest option I can think of now - and their customer support is second to none.

However, If you've got a deep pocket then the only host I'd recommend is Media Temple:

I've always heard the term "bullet-proof hosting" refer to something in an off-shore jurisdiction, usually over concern about spam laws... but if you're just looking for a good, normal host, I'd say try theplanet or yellowfiber.

I think youre right.. but I always assumed it to mean "hacker resistant"

lol hacker resistant is mostly based on your php code. Make sure you dont have any common exploits such as , mysql injections, rfi, xss,crsf etc.

bullet-proof is mostly for blackhat sites especially those that are doing movie sites, spamming, a lot of copyright stuff.

My understanding has also always been that bulletproof is for sites that are true BH - having a secure managed server is more a matter of choosing a good host.

I've got 15 years experience in adult and am relatively new to mainstream. I have six dedicated adult servers; I've only had one longterm mainstream site (for 15 years) but have recently started doing a lot more in mainstream. And in dealing with four mainstream hosts so far, I've been very disappointed - I realize that I've been spoiled over the years. I'm used to full response within an hour - usually within minutes; 24 hours to answer a ticket or set up a new account is eye-opening to me.

My experience has been that the big hosts that do a lot with adult have terrific tech support and will take the best care of you. Major adult businesses all require 99%+ uptime and strong support. So if you need reliability and quick/strong support, you'll pay more but it's worth it, IMO.

You could try hosts like amerinoc and certifiedhosting who have both small accounts and dedicated servers, so you could try them out first. The blue ribbon adult hosts (who would be happy to handle mainstream as well) are nationalnet and mojohost, both of whom are outstanding but I believe they only supply dedicated servers.

and the worse choice ever - been there, done that, barely got away.

All depends on your needs and how much you are making off your web sites. If you are making a good chunk of change you do NOT want a shared hosting option.

Get a nice cloud based solution (VPS.NET) or dedicated server (Tons of options) - Most all hosts will offer management of them, make sure you google some reviews before you choose.

Media Temple is the WORST hosting company I've ever been with. Sites got hacked, a lot of down time and the support is SHIT. I've had 30+ hour wait times for my support tickets. Recently moved my main site over to a VPS with KnownHost .. MUCH better.

If you're not doing anything too blackhat I've found Liquidweb to be amazing.

I have been looking for a truly bullet proof host also, for my money sites, but till date, I have had no luck.

Most of the so-called mainstream hosts will shut you down on the first complaint they get.

The people who provide bullet proof hosting that I have talked to are charging a load of money and giving no guarantees on uptime.
