Hello everyone,

What's your best strategy in finding and hiring VA assistants? I looked here but couldn't find what I wanted. Do you have tricks to find competent ones without going through a reseller?

Thanks.

It in itself is a skill. Maybe try to work with someone who has ample experience in finding such VAs? There are good VA teams providers on BHW too.

You can look for VAs here. But you can also try looking for Filipino VAs on Facebook. It is the most-used social media platform in the country, so many outsourcing companies use it to promote their VAs. Review the pages, interview them, and give them trials to confirm that they have the skills you are looking for.

You can post your requirements on VA sites or in this forum "Hire a Freelance" section. Add note that only individual freelancer with specific skills that you are looking for need to apply.

I've known many people from El Salvador. Their English level is usually outstanding, many have an academic background on par with that of first-world countries, and having the added upside of being in the same time zone (if you live in the US), which is a must for certain types of assistance.

Their being in the same time zone also has the added benefit of excelling at the job for longer and avoiding rotation, which is a business success no-no.

The country is not usually famous because of what I've seen, which is that many local businesses don't want them to work from home with these types of jobs, or else they'd have a Human Resources shortage. Also, the country is rather small, but populated.

you can try onlinejobs.ph if they are doing a great job, give them a bonus.

It is a skill in itself. Here 's what i suggest, first pick any project management app, create tasks. Most of your tasks can be done by fiverr. You might not even want a va.
