I have tried both namecheap and goddady, you can't go wrong with any of the two, but namecheap tend to be cheaper, first buy includes the whois protection within the $10.

To be honest most registers for domain names are about the same. Some have deals and cost less up front, but cost more long term. It doesn't really matter in the end though.

What most people complain about GoDaddy is the HOSTING. That is god awful and you should never ever host on godaddy.

But for domain reg, really just pick one and go for it.

It matters that where you are regestering domain. You can find the best place to register domain on Google or Bing. I'll suggest Flippa for regestering domains personally.
