Yes having only Skype is fine, twitter and fb would a lot inmo.

Yes, most of us would not want to share, but just like Skype is not compulsory, neither should tw/fb be.
Even in the previous version you had the option to add multiple IM handles, including Skype so I don't think screen real estate is an issue. I understand not everyone will be interested, but it doesn't hurt to add it for the people who are, anyways it will never be compulsory.

Social profile information is still there.
Go into the persons profile (click on their username) - click profile page - click information. You find all the Skype etc details there that they chose to expose.

Yea but most people dont know about slack, also its just about discussing things and skype gets things done
