Amiga is Commodore, you mean Spectrum and Atari. Where are they now? In my attic.

In all reality, google could die at any time. The market can change and not even they are immune to that, 10 years ago Nokia were sitting at the peak of an industry that was exploding and looked unstoppable. What is important to one generation is absolutely worthless to the next. It only takes a trend change, a perceived benefit of a rival, a backlash against a policy or just fashion. It could be uncool to use google tomorrow. Or FB or the next social media out of the blocks may incorporate a viable search facility or something. Or they advertise too much and squeeze the algo so it's only big corps that can keep up with it, and the public simply don't like an internet full of corporate BS. It can happen, if perception changes and the public see them for what they have become, an advertising platform that does a bit of search, if they continue to infringe on privacy they could become uncool.

You got a good point there things still grow at a certain point when things stop growing and google or facebook peaks there will be a decline and that day will come.

What if a great campaign raises with a bright marketing strategy pulling all people to adapt a word into searching?
Maybe the next guys are creating it on a garage or something. We dont know.
I believe Wolfram Alpha is great for searching the math world.

Yes, does not look like it is gonna happened anytime soon. As much as I hate google I keep using it.

Yeah! thats true. If Google will stop searching or won't provide proper search results, people will go with another search engine. The work doesn't stop for anything. Google takes many search results from Yahoo, Quora. People will take help from these sites.
