If Google dies, there will always be some other search engine that will take its place. People like to use 1 search engine and stick with it

This google bashing is taking us nowhere. You and I may not like Google, but no one cares about it mate. Google has risen to the position of superiority through business excellence, creating better products. Google is not there to put money in your pocket/fill up your fridge. You gotta figure out what you can do to make your money. Your approval, or for that matter our approval, or disapproval doesn't make Google richer or poorer.
I don`t see the quality products everyone talks about. I can bet you 1 billion dollars that there are talented programers in this world, that could make the job 1000 times faster, better and more user friendly. Its about marketing in the last instance and how to make people BELIEVE that a product is something they cannot live without. Guess what? Many people in the world don't use gmail, Google play or any other "quality" products and are doing just fine.
How can you think beyond Google, and build a self sufficient business model, that is the question.

That's the whole point. Google isn't a monopoly - but it is operating with almost a monopoly sized market share.
Anyone who has studied even the most basic economic history or theory will tell you that this situation NEVER lasts.
Google won't change that. 20 years is the absolute maximum for any company EVER in any market retaining an above 80% market share in a competitive market for anything.
If Google really were a protected monopoly this of course would not be true.
Imagine any of the following or thousands of other scenarios happening..
- "Search with Yahoo to get 5% off your Amazon purchases for the year"
- "Google SEO in sex scandal paid for by internet giant slush fund"
- "Apples new Pad 6 - Iphone 7 10x faster - unable to access Google"
- "Google found selling private data to marketing company - unrepentant"
- "Google invest in South Sea investments Ltd to add variance to stock portfolio.... South Sea investments goes bust leaving investors with unlimited liability"
- "Google servers hacked similar to Sony 2011 - should be back on line in 10-12 weeks"
- "Search engines no longer required as new dispersed data centre system allows users to get better results with direct full index algorithm"
- "Big companies pull out of Google adwords as return on investment plummets in 2014"
- "Windows 9 FREE for users who commit to using Bing search engine"
- Yahoo offers far more reliable search results with substantiually less "self advertising and self promotion" per page (true already, and already having an effect)
The list could go on and on and on....
"One, some, all" of these "would, should, might" happen at any time. Some will chip away at Googles lead, others would take chunks out in one go.
It's a trusim of modern economics. None protected monopolys NEVER keep an 80%+ market share indefinitely.

@Scritty, while Google's main income comes from PPC/search, that's not all they're into. Also, Google would not just disappear in a cloud of dust, they would most likely be cannibalized or assimilated by other companies. All the servers, know-how and workforce. So it would not be an extinction but more like a rebranding in practice. Unless a company will come up with a search algorithm that will be significantly better than Google's, then you will have the same Google under a different mask.

google understands this so they are building stuff like google glass to give them a heads up in the game but an obscure startup in a garage can make something better than them remember (google itself...apple...facebook...microsoft) history cycle

If anyone is able to make good search engine that's Facebook. If I were Mark, I'd start making new search engine right now, in a month, Google would notice at least 10% of traffic drop.
