When to start link building?

I am having a blog made and have about 1/4th of the content on it so far, about 30 posts. The sites around 3 months old at this point and my question was , when should I start building links to it? Is it too early now? Should I wait a few more months? I plan to start with a few web 2.0s, forum and QA post backlinks.

If your site is indexed proper, you can start now and start with social media, then go for other links.
 
Once you are done with designing and developing your website to the fullest, you can proceed with link building activities. Before that make sure you have your website fully SEO optimized.
 
What links should I go for first? By social media, do you mean I should setup accounts and start getting links from various groups, boards, etc? Or just start posting my links to my Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc pages?

I was planning on doing some forum and QA backlinks the first month and then slowely start adding in guest posts and niche edits the following months. Good or bad?
 
you dont have to wait, once the site is ready you can start building links.
 
If your website is ready, Definitly you can start the link building now.
 
When there were already about 20 articles on my blog and I did the right on-page SEO, I immediately began to negotiate about publishing of guest posts with the site owners.
 
Start with on page make sure everything is covered up and then start link building anytime you are done with your website. Since your website needs to be perfect when a visitor visits your website by clicking on the links that you built.
 
If you have completed your website, and made your internal links. By starting with social media, you can generate your backlinks.
 
If your website is ready and fully SEO optimized, you don't have to wait any longer to start link building
 
Even if domain registered 2 weeks ago - if on-page seo is done, we can start backlinks building ?

i suggest to create shit load of Web 2.0s and let them age. over coming months, gradually start creating links to you rmoney site. Same with profile. create shit load of them, and use them gradually over the months.
 
3 months are more than good enough for you to start building some backlinks to your blog. Web 2.0s, forum and QA post are good but you should also consider doing some guest posts and blog commenting on relevant blogs as well. All the Best (Y)
 
if your site is blogging site then you don't need to panic. only, you post daily.
 
Start building and be planned like split the link profile and diversify them ,make sure you update unique quality links.
 
When your website is ready to live and fully optimized then you start link building. You can start link-building by using off page SEO technique.
