Hey guys,

when do you think is good time to start building back links? Should my domain be a certain age? Should I have a certain number of good posts?

There are a few services on the marketplace that look very appealing but I don't wanna do anything aggressive.

Are there any good practices or rules of thumb on back links building?

Make sure to hire the right person.... You do not want a manual action.... Your new website will be trash.

There is no rule. If you plan advertising it from the day it goes online, then you can start building links after a week, otherwise wait a months or so, then start building links.

1. The broken-link building method
2. Backlinks through infographics

I start right away, it's completly normal that new sites share their links here and there.

The is no rule, but usually it is recommended to start with slow velocity; do 1 link wait; then do a few; then increase; you can start with citations links and social links.

You should start building backlnks straight away. You need to create a list of websites in your niche and start building relationships with the so in the future you can get guest posting opportunities. You need to build a social media presence and publish to it daily. .This will naturally share out your links - this is especially useful if you can create viral/clickbait content. You should strive to become an authority in your niche and when this happens, aim to do interviews and guest spots wherever possible.

Build naturally build early and you'll be ok :)

There is no such fixed time in domain age. But you should first add some good amount of posts on your website. Once you have some high quality content on your website, start link building. Add social signals as well.

If your site is new then first keep your site done with on-page optimization, index all the pages & all the latest seo tactics first. As in off-page link building you just have to keep its link velocity balanced with domain age. Like First month – 10 quality backlinks, the second month – 18 quality backlinks, the third month – 35 quality backlinks, the fourth month – 70 quality backlinks so on… While doing this just keep checking your site's position & needs. One more thing you must keep in mind that if your site has many pages then you can increase these quantity and if pages are a few then keep your link velocity balanced like I suggested.

Great info guys, a lot of things are a lot more clear now!

Start as soon as you're happy for visitors to see your site. If it's broken, not yet finished etc, then wait.

Make sure it has a reasonable amount of content.
