I have done a lot.. and I mean a lot of aged expired domain hunting lately lol , I creating a new money site and have over the last 3 months docked about 15 relevant domains in my cPanel(s). I know which are strong and not so strong, but some had 2 or 3 really ranking back-links, the others had decent back-links but across the board. The thought of building 15 sites and coming up with regular content brings a bit of sick up into my throat lol. I have them spread across 6 decent shared hosting accounts.
Would you build 1 money website - 4-5 PBN sites - forward 2-3 or more?

I'm interested in this as well. With what kind of back link profile would it be wise to create a PBN or redirect?

How relevant are the domains? Better how relevant are the backlinks?
How powerful are the backlinks to the expired sites?
I don't 301 unless I am rebranding or the domain is perfect, with strong backlinks and backlink profile is clean AF.

patriotnews , i'm just starting down this road, the product type and the keywords are the same and are in all the domain name. I went through all the back links to see if any came from their top level peer sites, and chose the ones that did.

Personally I see 301 redirects being used very effectively all the time by my competitors. I believe it is all about the quality of what you redirect as to how effective it is.

Ideally you would only redirect something which is niche relevant, with decent links/juice and 100% clean, but I see sites doing very well from non niche relevant redirects, so it would seem that niche relevancy is not essential to success with 301's.

@MisterF thinks they are effective as you can see from his BST and I agree.

Today you need behavioral signals on your links. No use having redirected domain if no one searches for the expired domain. If the expired domain has traffic and you 301 it, it'll work, otherwise it's just sitting there.

Don't play with 301s unless you know what you are doing.

I guess you guys have answered my question, it was more to do with "what I do with it"?? lol
So I was researching expired domains trying to get relevant link juice for my new money site, whilst doing that I found a site with a good extension because of where I live and a short 6 letter name but no key words in it.
It has a MOZ score for spam of 1-30% - 97.4% (green)
DA 32
LD's 287
Inbound links 790
Backlinks top -
1 BBC.co.uk link
1 Sundaytimes
3 Wiki links
61 links form DA's of 67 - 83

So I bought it for $6.49

So I guess the question should have been - should I build it out, but it has no relevance to anything I'm doing or should I gamble its not getting 404'd and squeeze out the juice to my money site as the only 301 I use?
Or park it with a archive grab'd WP site ?

I'm totally open for suggestions guys I really don't have a clue what to do with it lol :)
