So... how would one replicate this based on the data we've gathered?
Buy a couple of aged domains, install some sort of script that creates 10,000+ pages with "semi unique" content, buy a few do-follow links and point it to those domains you bought, and have a few site-wide links pointing to your main site using brand keywords or your main keywords?
Is that it? Or am I missing something.

Well, for this one it look like it's just good old scrapebox & rankerx (or similar) with the legendary "Post your anchor everywhere" -> earn -> crash -> repeat

This is a huge shit example. Yesterday two guys went to prison in my country for a site like this.
Make a drug selling site like the Silk Route, you will probably have the best ecommerce site in the whole Black Hat World. Maybe you even outrank Nike in sales. The only *little* issue is that you will go to prison in the next 3 weeks.
