When should I start link building?

I have a site that is a week old and doesn't rank for it's brand name. When is the best time to start building links?

You should first focus on perfecting the on page and once you are done with that you can start slow and slowly build up
 
You can straight away start link building slowly. Advisable to start with niche real guest posts then niche post then pbn,web 2.0 like that.

Don't through many links at a time, use drip feed
 
Would not advise to do pbn unless it's private and secure. That's a no go for me personally, SEO is long term don't let anyone fool ya.
 
You can start now first month go slow, and since you only want brand name ranking then @t0mmy orm service is excellent if you’re looking for more inner page rankings then go for guest posts and pbns
 
First focus on content and improve on-page optimization.
After that improve internal linking structure and promote social media and then build back links.
 
If the site is indexed, then start with 10 to 20 links per month and increase gradually. Focus on quality and relevance link, guest post. Avoid low quality links and diversify link profile.
 
Start now, but go slow and use only naked URL and branded anchors that link to the home page. Slow is like 2 or3 the first week, then 4 or 5 the second. Slowly increase the number each week.

Once you have 15 to 20 articles or pages published you can start linking to inner pages with keyword and longtail anchors.
 
If your site gets indexed means you can start link building now itself. drive slowly with step by step procedure. start with first gear and then you can reach top gear quickly

If it doesn't rank for its own brand name then there's something wrong. Either trust issue or some other on-site issue. I'd diagnose all on-site issues before risking links.
 
Always follow the golden rule - Quality > Quantity.

Build only the more relevant links that are worth your time making them and will really help you.

Don't fall for PBNs unless you know what you're doing :D
 
All link building campaigns must start with something worth linking to It’s very difficult to build links to low-value webpages but when you begin with something truly valuable that people find useful or share worthy, link building is a much easier endeavor.
