When people ask, what I do ?

I tell them that i buy media for affiliate moneys and do lead generation cuz thats what i do. What the problem with telling people what you do?
 
Yeah, I just tell people that ask that I am in internet marketing. If they have somewhat of a understanding of what IM is then they try not to ask me questions because they know the scope of work is huge but to those that don't understand what IM is they seem to ask "what is that? how does that make you money?" then I go into explaining a little bit about affiliate marketing and optimization. Then they usually understand...
 
I tell them I am a web designer and licensed IT thats all no explanations
 
If you want to avoid next questions, just say "I do part-time SEO but PPD also seems profitable to me, I think I'll drop CPA and take a hand over Social Media as well" or something they can't understand, because if you tell them you make websites, they ask you how to make websites, what is Adsense, how to create ad unit and other booooring things you don't wanna answer. In addition you'll get mad when they ask questions like "what is keyword" while explaining Google algorithms for them.
 
Maybe you should sums up what are you doing online and make a simple sentence for the explanation, since Internet Marketing is the most common ( I just say to people or my relative if i'm doing Marketing with Internet as it's media ).
 
I either tell them, internet marketing or own abunch of websites. Or i say im a web developer, lol.

I tell them I am a "web developer", otherwise I am getting this 'deer in the headlights' stair. I tried to explain couples time what was the whole idea. I tried to explain simple and easy like I am talking to 6 years old and it did not go too well. I think now I am only "Web developer" or "Online Publisher" (Sometimes) That's all.

I just tell I do website online no explanation they just know I earn good cash with it
