When is PPC more appropriate than SEO?

Great video on presenting the differences between SEO and PPC to a business owner. I wanted to see in what scenarios or which reasons people on BHW feel PPC is better for a business than SEO.

All boils down to exposure and ROI.

If you are good enough to make money mord than u spend with ppc then u dont need seo

It's pretty straight forward right, measuring ROI and Acquisition cost? In a perfect world a business should invest in both simultaneously to determine which method has a greater return and then scale it from there. However; in most cases small-mid size companies only have enough money for just one or are too afraid to gamble with both and so it makes things more difficult to track. Time is another issue, SEO is long term return where as PPC gives you instant results and you can gather data quickly to see if it's worth it or not.
