1st time EVER? A senior in high school, 2010, I started a hand made jewelry and painting (mostly portraits) "business" out of boredom. I sold my jewelry and paintings online after taking up marketing and business classes that year. We actually had to write a detailed business plan in one class and a detailed marketing plan in the other class. I decided to just do the same subject for both classes, jewelry making, to make it easier on me.
Next thing you know, I was like that is a great way to make money since I do arts and crafts in my free time any way. I did art so much, I would sit in the art class during lunch to put together projects with whatever extra items my teacher had available. Anything that was gonna go to the trash, went to me. I would just Google ways to make it work, like how to clean old beads or untangle certain threads, even how to soften hard clay.
It turned into such a hobby that my family got involved with their own hobbies and we took it to Ebay as a family. My parents making and selling soaps, lotions, leather accessories, myself selling art pieces, and my brother selling items he found basically trash picking. I know, nasty. But he made good money and he was only 10, so....
After my senior I got married, moved on with life and let the internet life go. And after a few years, I went to college for business and rewriting business plans and learning marketing again just sparked my imagination again.
My first time making money online "recently" was about 2 weeks ago. It was actually pretty life changing. Encouraging. So many words to explain. I decided I was going to start making art again and selling it. I figured it would be great income source since there are more sites around now like Zibbet and ArtFire. But after talking to a few people and realizing the cost of getting the jewelry and supplies again, I decided to do freelance writing.
I made an account on a site that 3 different people had suggested and within 24 hours, I had made $20. Then $60. Next thing you know, I`m averaging 50 to $100 a day in just a couple weeks. Who knew something so free, something so natural, can be so financially rewarding. I never thought I`d be making money..... Writing....
