I know the last real boom was in 2000's but When does everyone think the next big Leap is going to be? I wanna make sure I'm ready to ride the wave so to speak! lol
I agree with this, the older generation is never really going to get into the internet, however as more and more children become teenagers there are going to be more and more users on the internet.Timothy said:I think that the number of people that are using the internet is not going to dramatically increase over a period of time. There will be a gradual increase but nothing massive because almost everyone has the internet. All of my friends have the internet!
Unfortunately I would be classed as someone from the older generation, I disagree with what is being said here. It is possible to teach an old dog new tricks. I'm 57 and until 9 years ago I had never used the internet, now I'm on forums all over the place.Jacky said:I agree with this, the older generation is never really going to get into the internet, however as more and more children become teenagers there are going to be more and more users on the internet.

Application Security will be huge. More or less a bigger move in programming. Explicitly deny all and only allow users access to commands you allow. you would be surprised what you can do with "search" strings in databases by making it generate errors.
As far as the next big Boom? Nah, Internet is staying the same, just IT jobs are coming back and companies aren't hiring yoohoos any more with just a college degree.
