I just don't get it anymore. People are way more likely to buy something just for the sake of it these days than ever before. I see companies that should be dying thriving because all of a sudden their products are trendy and everyone wants to be seen eating or drinking them on social media. Everything these days is about appearance or faking it till you make it and spending the most possible for a single item.

I just dont get how people can be so stupid to fall for this crap. People spending money they dont have on things they dont need just to look cool (in their mind) they look like bloody idiots to me. It used to be electronics, clothes or cars, but these days people brag about what coffee they drink or where they bought their lunch.

It makes me really sad and I yearn for the day I can get out of this society and just live happily on my land doing things that I find enjoyable instead of the daily grind and watching what society is becoming. Instagram seems to be the cause in my mind. I know it was headed that way anyway but Instagram really started a fire under it and I personally think it has changed things for the worse. I just find it incredibly depressing to see how things are progressing and what people these days value.

I don't personally use social media. I have not done for years. The last post I made on my Facebook profile was about 4 years ago. I never created a personal Instagram and I'm glad.

But if you buy that trendy food for your Instagram then you get a good ROI for when you sell shoutouts later after being popular. ;) You are correct - everything is about appearances nowadays.

Just use it as motivation as you see these people make money in these insane ways. lol

Instagram really did a number on our society.

"A private life, is a happy life"

"A private life, is a happy life"

Great quote! I heard something similar recently. I think it was either said by Ashton kutcher or attributed to him saying it which was "Privacy is the new celebrity" or "privacy will become the new celebrity"I could not agree more.

So posting pics of a coffee from Starbucks that the guy in front of you who has hair that is designed after a parrot is not cool anymore?
