I am looking for the same thing. I usually get proxies, but they are unusable if detected as having usage type DCH/we bhosting. So then I ask owner/admins/support to replace them for me, but they only do it once and can fail (some proxy services, doesn't apply to all, but probably majority). This means only specific subnets will work from ISP. If you have static residential proxy that shows as DSL/mobile/fibre then that is the highest quality IP you can get, but they are very expensive (over $5 per IP). Now I use wealthproxies.com and support replaces them for me, but I need more alternatives. I looked at webshare.io and they offer manual replacements. I am not sure about proxy quality though (seems to be low). This is the one and only problem I have with proxy providers, they don't really offer replacements like webshare.io nor check for usage type.

Try with domain interest and see what happens

I use Google and Cloudflare as quick checks too. If a proxy triggers captcha right away, it's likely already flagged. But I also check IP reputation on IPQualityScore or Spur.us to see fraud scores and usage type.
Then I do a basic session test: load major sites, try a social login, and see if the IP holds steady. If it behaves like a real user and doesn't break during normal actions, it's worth using.
Blacklist data isn’t enough on its own. I rely more on how the IP performs in actual browsing and whether it fits the expected fingerprint and region.

Check the seller - whether they do really have a proxy setup physically. alot of these mobile IPs may be flagged as spam but actually clean. there are also those who check out properly but get banned later. the checks are just intermediary checkpoints. the important part is the source as well as how you use it.

To check ping and that I usually use fogldn proxy checker

I typically run curl commands to multiple endpoint checks (IP quality score, whatismyipaddress, and whoer.net) while monitoring response times and consistency across different requests. Real testing means actually using the proxy for your intended use case whether that's scraping, account creation, or automation since captcha-friendly proxies for browsing might get instantly flagged for other activities.
