I'm using google and cloudlfare captchas to define whenever proxy is good or not. Blacklist doesn't seem to do much, and if you get captcha on google search - well, you might as well make an email accout [email protected]

What's your methods to decide if it worth to use proxy further?
 
Mine is pretty basic too. I usually test normal browsing first (Google, YouTube, a few random sites) and see how often captchas pop up. If Google hits captcha right away, I drop it.
I don’t rely much on blacklists either. Real use matters more. If it stays clean during actual sessions , then it’s good enough. If it burns fast, I just move on.
 
Same, testing if captchas pop up on certain sites, sometimes checking with ip quality check api's
 
I usually judge proxies by session stability rather than just captchas. I run them through my actual workflow for a bit and see if anything breaks or flags. If it holds up under real use, I keep it. If issues show up fast, I replace it.
 
I use the site ipqualityscore for a quick scan, then double check by loading a captcha heavy site like ticketmaster. If I get through cleanly, I test the proxy's speed with a yt HD video load, slow streaming or repeated captchas means I drop it.
 
Test the proxy on other sites and if they load normally, the proxy is still good.

Makes total sense, but I was talking more about IP quality rather than proxy quality, should clarify in first message.

I built a small internal proxy/IP checker for my own use. It’s not just “Google captcha yes/no” — I combine a few reputation/flag sources (ipwho.is + ip-api, optionally AbuseIPDB/IPQS/IPinfo/Spamhaus) and then score each IP into a simple risk tier (low/medium/elevated/high/critical).

For proxies I also resolve the exit IP first, then run a quick performance bench (RTT/TTFB + download throughput) and a basic DNS sanity check (socks5 vs socks5h + DoH request through the proxy).

In practice the decision is mostly based on: (1) risk tier + abuse signals, (2) session stability on real targets, (3) speed metrics (TTFB is usually the best early indicator for me). If it’s “clean” but burns instantly on production endpoints, I still drop it.
 
Usually checking some cloudflare checks or google captcha. I don't rely on fraudscore checkers because I had good results on high fraud proxies so I'm not sure that they really can be usefull for all cases. Also checking connection type on ip2location on maxmind, should be something like "commercial" or "business". for examples most ISP proxies from Proxy-Seller have such stats

Lots of good mobile and resi IPs trigger captchas due to high traffic, not because they’re burned. What matters is real usability: Can you log in without instant friction? Do sessions stay stable? Does the account survive the first 24–72 hours? If it works normally, the proxy is fine. Blacklists and captchas don’t say much anymore.
 
I do something similar with captchas but I do not rely on that alone anymore Captchas can be inconsistent and sometimes even clean IPs get hit I usually combine that with checking proxy signals and recent activity using tools like Fraudo io along with basic tests If an IP shows stable behavior across checks and does not trigger issues everywhere I keep it otherwise I drop it quickly
 
Honestly, I just try it out on Google and see how it behaves. If it feels clean and usable, I keep it; if not, I rotate.
 
Guys, how can I ensure that proxy won't be detected as VPN? Also, if there are any providers that don't allow DCH usage type, but rather fixed line ISP/commercial.
 
I've found that combining multiple test methods, like using Google and Cloudflare captchas, along with tools like Fraudo io, helps to get a more accurate picture of a proxy's usability. To minimize the risk of a proxy being detected as a VPN, I've had some success with using residential proxies from providers that offer fixed line ISP or commercial IP addresses, such as those from ISP proxy providers. Does anyone have any experience with specific providers that offer these types of IPs and have strict policies against DCH usage?
