Tonight, I decided to check out several of recommended free Html Editors:
I spent some time reading the search results from Google and eliminated the ones that people have low opinions of, and settled on the short list below for hands-on testing.
The ones I checked out are:
CoffeeCup (Free edition)
KompoZer
NoteTab Light
Trellian WebPage
I rejected CoffeeCup (Free edition) because it is too crippled.
I rejected KompoZer because it reformats my easy to read lines into ultra-long strings upon saving
I rejected Trellian because it cannot even do search and replace right.
I am staying with NoteTab Light because it does not do any of the above things, although I have just started using it.
Another program I will look into is the highly rated NotePad++.
Is NotePad++ better than NoteTab Light?
I don't know yet, since I am in a hurry to do some html pages right now but will no doubt take a look at NotePad++ in the future when I am not as rushed.
So, the above are my share of actual experience.
Anyone wants to recommend something better or comparable that I should look into in the future?
