$2 a fucking gallon, even though US gallon is not the same as UK we pay about £5 a gallon which would be over $6!!

European gas prices are insane. We paid close to $7 a gallon in Iceland. Right now a half mile down the road from me it's $2.04.

All our prices are in litres, there are 4.54 litres in our gallons and average price per litre in the UK are about £1.15

In Germany 6$ a gallon is usual too. Damn 2$ per gallon is really awesome. I take the train whenever possible and still spend a fortune each month to drive my car. Just took a look at your tax rates in Wikipedia and it seems like a gallon includes 0.5$ in taxes (on average in the us). In germany a gallon results in 4.5$ in taxes...
