6 months ago I started my own blog in a niche where it is not super hard to rank. I have kept myself to post 1-2 blogs every week, with these posts I do my own research and write it myself as well. However, I do use Copywriter GPT for SEO optimization of the article.
Today only 3 articles are indexed by Google, and in Bing I had reasonable traffic, but now all my traffic has suddenly died. It's hard to stay motivated to post. I have already done the following to try to get indexed:
- Incorporated all the advice from YoastSEO.
- Rewrote all my articles.
- Installed IndexNow on the advice of Bing
- Tried writing blogs without using Copywriter GPT

Do you guys have any advice on what I'm doing wrong, and how to get indexed?

Why do people think doing this even matters? I have a blog which has 18 - 20 / 100 score for most posts as per Yoast 'SEO' and still it has managed to grow to 5000+ monthly users while posting a post per week.

Ensure quality backlinks, optimize internal linking, submit updated sitemaps, and check for duplicate content. Use Google Search Console to monitor indexing issues. Consistently update content to improve relevance.

So, did you post like 200-300 articles and only 3 are indexed? That's weird, I don't have any problems indexing posts on Google with new domains (of course, it may take a while, not instant index, but they eventually are indexed). Is this a new domain or an expired one with spammy stats? Did you any of those spammy backlink packages?

May be google is not liking the Chatgpt content. You should switch to manual content.

Try the following tips, these may resolve your issue:

- Check for Crawl Errors: Use Search Console’s Coverage Report to fix errors preventing Google from indexing.
- Avoid Over-Optimization: Excessive SEO optimizations might trigger spam flags. Keep the content natural while adhering to SEO basics.
- Review Bing Webmaster Tools: Check for penalties, crawl errors, or deindexing reasons.

Make sure your website loads quickly, is mobile-friendly, and can be easily crawled by search engines. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console, check for any errors, and try getting some quality backlinks to boost your site’s authority and help with indexing.

I understand your situation. New sites can take time to get indexed and traffic. I recommend that you continue to write useful and original content and promote it on social media. For SEO, focus on building quality backlinks and try to improve your site's authority in the long run.

In Google Search Console it says "Crawled - currently not indexed", not alot of other information. I dont have any backlinks yet, but that mostly important for ranking not indexing right? I used a online site scanner and implemented their advice, cant recall the name. Also in Google PageSpeed this are the results:1733918642819.png

I think you read it wrong, its 1-2 per week, so right now its 34 articles. Its a fresh domain.

  1. Low-quality or irrelevant content not resonating with your audience.
  2. Poor SEO practices limiting visibility.
  3. Weak or no promotion efforts (social media, email, etc.).
  4. Lack of backlinks from authoritative sites.
  5. Poor user experience (slow site, bad navigation).
  6. Unclear goals or audience targeting.
Fix these, and your results should improve! Let me know if you need help in a specific area.

it is difficult to index/rank pure AI content for long terms, try humanizing the content

Do not use AI for content. Write the content manually.

You might want to

• Improve content quality by focusing on E-E-A-T criteria, ensuring articles have at least 1,000 words, and creating original content that provides unique value.
• Review and update existing content by identifying previously successful posts, conducting fresh keyword research, and enhancing them with current information.
• Focus on creating topic clusters and content silos around successful pages that are still performing well.

There are regular changes in Google's algorithm so you need to keep learning new signals that affect ranking.

You rewrote all articles after damage was already done. Google already got signal that your website is based on AI content and this has issued a penalty for your website.

Possible issues: poor SEO, inconsistent posting, low-quality content, or targeting the wrong audience.

It's due to the new google update.

I think you should focus on the quality and uniqueness of your content. Otherwise, even if you do a lot of work on technical and SEO optimization, if your content is not unique and in-depth, search engines will find it difficult to rank it.
