[2024 BHW Indexer Study - Part 2]

Here is the second update for 2024 of a study I seem to be running yearly since 2022, testing every current indexing service that has an active sales thread on BHW. I use orphaned pages to run these tests, devoid of any internal/external links or entries in sitemaps, as there should be no way for spiders to reach these pages without a working indexer notifying them of their existence. I also track exactly if and when Googlebot visits these orphaned pages.

I set up pages on 5 domains that I own, 1 page for each indexing service. These pages have no internal links, are not included in any sitemaps, and have only been visited via a de-Googled Chrome browser. Each page has 500+ words of complete garbage auto-generated but unique content. The sites on all the domains were already naturally indexed before commencing the study. I'm tracking any visits from Googlebot via the access_log for each domain - no third party stats packages, straight from the main data source.

Since the last update early on this year, 4 old indexing services have closed their sales threads, and 2 more have started up and since closed.

When I started this iteration of the study there were 9 indexing service providers with an active sales thread in the BHW marketplace.

All new accounts were setup to conduct this test. No 'free credits' or any other offers were used, all paid accounts.

How am I checking indexing?

Since Google removed the cache: search operator a few months ago, I'm now only using site:domain.com/page searches to determine whether a page is indexed or not.

I tracked indexing every day for a week, and then followed up a week later. Time began when the urls were submitted to each service. No 'drip feed' values were given, I went for whatever 'immediate indexing' option each service had.

Conclusion

I'll leave that down to you guys, as they all have different price points, speed and reliability. I'll update again after 90 days have passed.

Link Indexing Bot, Lindexing, LinkGX, UltimateIndexing, SpeedyIndex, PageIndexer, LinkIndexingExpert and IndexingExpert were all capable of indexing searchbox parasites (eg. domain.com/?s=search string here).

Only Linkdexing was capable of indexing .pdf files.

- The samples used in this test are very small (5 urls it appears)

- It is worth noting that we regularly index huge quantities of urls with a full report afterwards whereas some services around the internet do not report afterwards so it is not possible to track indexing success for large batches so customers never quite know how many urls get indexed as it is not practical to manually check or know the true indexation rate.

- It is also important to treat "money site" urls differently to 3rd party link urls due to the risk of penalties and some indexers do not ask customers whether they are money site urls and so index them in the same way as 3rd party link sites which may be risky and nobody wants Google Penalties.

Well done again for putting in huge effort to conduct this review and we thank you for doing so. We recognise there are many factors when considering indexing and not all are possible to include in a survey of this type. We constantly review and improve our techniques.

Marked are different ones, or it is typo mistake?
 
We would therefore request Larger Sample sizes in future tests.

We do not feel 5 urls is a fair or statistically accurate representation of our service which has been previously independently tested by the BHW team on a large sample and shown to index over 90% of urls.

e.g. 100 urls as we do regularly get over 70 to 90 % of urls indexed

Also please declare any Financial Connection to the services tested as we have seen some of our competitors links in your forum signature (there is one there now for Linkdexing).

We are not saying this has influenced the test but we would request full transparency as that is only fair as there may be other connections BHW members are not aware of.

I may increase the number of urls used in any further studies but it won't be 100.

As for 'Financial Connection' - Linkdexing have been paying for an ad in my signature space since December 2022, including through the last 2 studies I've published. If you believe I have favoured or given a particular service special attention, by all means speak to the mods.

Great thank you as we think larger sample sizes are statistically more accurate. I am sure you understand we want tests to be conducted independently and appreciate your full financial disclosure.

Finally we like independent testing as it exposes some of the dreadful dishonest indexers out there (not in this survey as they are not on BHW) who take customers money and never even send Googlebot to crawl which is a disgrace.

We have used them and that is what made us set up an honest trustworthy service. Well done and thank you.

Hmm, dunno bro that does seem a little fishy? At least apply more links to make it a fair review. I agree with @mancunian on this one. You clearly have an incentive to promote Linkdexing!

Well, judging by the tests, they are not the most effective. The more you discuss it, the more you promote it yourself

Unless you are doing doorways and sending 100K links from one domain, the Steptoe test is the most accurate that most webmasters need.

I have a lot of domains, I create one new article per 20-50 domains when I have time and I need to send them to the index quickly. So I submit as in the test, one URL per 20 domains. If the service was not able to index them normally in the test from 5 domains, then the same will be with my 20 - it will not index them.
 
I myself regularly conduct such tests of all indexing services (many working services are missing on BHW).
And Steptoe does not fully conduct the test, showing the uselessness of many services that do not give you anything, but just take your money.

In the same tests, I add one more URL to each site, which I don't send through indexers to the index.
And I watch Google index them on this site independently using a link from the home page.

Almost always all services show the same time, if the indexer indexed the URL on one of the domains, then Google itself for the same time indexed the second URL on this domain :)

If the indexer did not index, then Google also did not index - the matter is not in the indexer and the domain itself, that is, the indexer does nothing for you, it is Google itself indexes your site, if the site allows it on the rating, and the indexer just so takes your money.

And only an indexer that indexes a page where Google has not indexed a second page can be considered working.
