Whats wrong with google

I ranked for my generic keyword for 1st position from last 1 month and suddenly when i check today morning this keyword is on 11th position. How is it possible. How can any keyword (with volume more than 1 MN in a month) change its position from 1 to 11 in a single day.
I am shocked. Is anyone facing this same issue. plz if you have any suggestion let me know. because I am loosing lot of traffic because of that.

This may occur due to ranking fluctuations. Ranking fluctuation sometimes related to a Google algorithm change and sometimes they just as a part of Google’s volatility. Do not freak out and do whatever you want to do best for your customers and your site.

Man, that's SEO, did you think that if you rank you will stay there forever? Some keywords even change daily and you need to pump links as much as you can to stay on the first page!

I got the answer, its because of google new featured snippet update - Listings that earn featured snippets will not repeat on the first page of Google search
Instead, they'll appear at the top of the second results page.

So your site is still shown in the featured snippet, on the first page, for the same keyword?

No it shows featured snippet for the keyword and site is on 11 th position in ranking
