I think the group board will become less effective nowadays since other users trying to spam because of so many contributors inside the group board. If you save your pin to a group board that has a low engagement score, it will hurt your pin performance. Pinterest will think that your pin is not attractive and reducing your distribution. But you can test some 2-3 group board and see whether it could help improve your pin engagement, maybe you can find a good group board that has good engagement, just test it. ;)

if you have a lot of traffic you can monetize your blog from ad income like media vine, selling your own digital ebook about recipes, or selling other people digital product
 
Thank you so much for sharing these. I want to start Pinterest marketing for my business and I was just looking for some tips that are working now.

Beside that, it never made sense to me why repining should be helpful.

I disagree about only pinning your own pins, Pinterest encourages sharing pins from other people. This is the basis in which your pins are shared to other people too.

Hashtags help in your pin getting ranked on Pinterest and also Google too.

I agree with all of what you said, but it's not your problem.
The problem is on Pinterest.
They can change algorithms at any time, and old truths will be wrong or old mistakes will be right.

I have a website only with this kind of image and i'm pining only from my website (for over 6 months). So i don't think you got banned because of the images
 
I think the best tactics with pinterest is to pin pictures from your blog or website and optimize the title and description with your keywords. Spamming will only get your account banned.
 
they want fresh and new content so i will try to give them. Hope that this will work longterm
