if u have a few pr3 link then u should go PR2
if u have a few pr4 links then u should go pr3
^^ is not a rule... giving u an idea.
blast them with ALN OR FBL (u get many posts on hi pr sites). Do blog comments on HI PR urls.
there r many people those have 4-5 PR5 domains, a couple of pr4 and 3.
they buy new domain (pr0).. give them link from those domains... wait for update.
BOOM.
PR4 most of the times.

PR is now such a small part of the algorithm. Don't get caught up in your PR - get focused on where you actually rank on the search engine. I consistently rank for highly competitive terms with PR 0 sites.

PR is not a big deal at this time unless you are selling links. But if you do want to have high PR, get do follow links from high-PR pages.

Cheap way, also you could simply buy expiring high PR domains.

You're wrong. You have no idea what Google's internal PR is because they haven't updated the external snapshot of PR in a long time, so you don't even know what your pages PR is to begin with.

There are many factors contribute to Pagerank, sometimes a site with quality content can attain a high pagerank without even any backlink. I remember one of my wordpress web 2.0 attained PR4 and it has unique content and almost no backlinks. Other ways for attaining Pagerank includes placing your link on high PR page and best way to get high PR backlinks is blog commenting.

Find a do follow search engine and leave comments on high do follow pages. Main websites won't leak page rank to you it has to be on the exact page you have a link on so this method would help you to get high page rank quick. Just get as many high PR-2+ links for a high page rank on the next page rank update.
