Direct traffic: Push notifications.

SEO traffic: Frequent engaging content along with backlinks from authority sites.

You must invest in advertising, free is not always good. Facebook ads might be a good choice depending on the main topic of your blog.

SEO is not a bad idea also if you don't have too much competition in your niche.

Driving traffic is not all that matters, your traffic needs to be quality traffic.
The more organic it is the better.
See where your audience goes, what social media platform, then just follow up.
