Hey Pinterest fellows!

A few days ago I got an Ad limitation from Google Adsense because of invalid traffic.
My main traffic sources come from Social media, mainly from Pinterest.

Some guys told me that the invalid traffic issue could be caused by Pinterest traffic...

From 2/3k ad impression per day, actually I'm receiving 40 to 50... thanks Google

So, have you ever had an experience like that? How should I fix it?

I'm considering changing the Ad network, do you know anyone who works well with Pinterest traffic?

Thanks for your help guys!

A new Network will not solve your problems with invalid traffic. Why should someone pay you for bot traffic?

I don’t get it.. my traffic isn’t botted

I have a great following on Pinterest and having most of my traffic from there, no bot or anything

Apparently you know nothing about Pinterest. Their CRWALERS hammer sites causing even some of them to go down!!!
So when Adsense claims that they detected invalid traffic, it was INDEED invalid traffic! Take a look at you site's analytics and try blocking their IPs

Uhm, I wasn't aware of that, thank you. Could you please explain to me how to block those crawlers from Pinterest?

Pinterest crawalers can execute Java scripts and watch adsense ads? Are you serious?

What is your CTR?

It will really depend on your traffic volumes, rather than the niche you're in. Ideally, you'd want to apply for an ad mediation network. But most require some sort of solid traffic history.

Most of your Pinterest traffic will be webview traffic from their in-app browser. Adsense tends to not like webview traffic and depending on who you are will just not count it. Even though it's not bot traffic, it looks awfully suspicious to them.

That's why you're still getting some valid impressions (probably your desktop users from Pinterest) but most are being counted as invalid. One thing you could do is use php to detect the user agent, and only show Adsense to desktop or mobile browser users. In-app traffic from Pinterest, because of cookie and other restrictions, is mostly useless to you. What you should do is do a popup asking them enter their email if they are visiting from within the Pinterest in=app browser.

So the script for this is simple. If the word "Pinterest" is in the user agent, then you need to not show them Adsense and just show a field saying that the link to the special content they were trying to view will be emailed to them. Then email them. And don't show Adsense at all in that case. You'll build a decent sized email list in a hurry, and Adsense won't ban you.

You can try adsterra.. I got $100 a day with 6k uv traffic from pinterest

This is so complicated..when pinterest user click link from pinterest and dont get what they want as the pin showed..it will dangerous your blog.because it may cause blocked link as deindex from pinterest . And you wont get trafic again..

You're welcome to not ask for email if you don't want to. I have never had an issue with it Pinterest while asking for it with an aggressive overlay. But regardless, you shouldn't show Adsense to webview traffic, it's a disaster waiting to happen. Other networks, sure.

Yes.. But its no problem as long as they dont bann your account. I got limit action for several time since september, but its ok. I took tricky action and 3-4 days limitatiin lifted and i can got earning again.

this is ridiculous. google is too amateur to distinguish between real or bot.
