Obviously, building links will boost your site to position 1 for those keywords.

New domain is not your old domain. So your old domain will show up on position=whatever if it's ranking or vice versa for the new domain. One's gain is not gonna get transferred to another, no matter if you rewrite the same post or not. Idk how I sound but these are general knowledge I guess.

P.S.= Why don't you just reregister that old domain, that'd work fine, plus the aging factor will have its benefiting part.

Sorry you got me wrong these ranks for my new domain I was doing R 301 from the old domain so Google passed the rank through , but my site daily visitors were too low ~70 so I decided to delete my old contents (as someone registered my expired old domain ) to avoid duplicate contents (and honesty it contents were not that good ) .

long story short I didn't had way to pay domain registration (and the domain were fallen down very fast ) so I get ride of it , even the guy who take it didn't made any progress at all .

Oh! my bad. since that guy have control over that okd domain, 301 from that domain is under his sleeves as well.
But as you are ranking and your content is good, you're new domain will fly as soon as you build proper natural-looking links with good keyword strategy. Point is just keep a little but of patience and build good links, GOOD quality links, never go for quantity links for money site, I've learnt this the hard way.
