My ad account keeps having problems, the account isn't spending even though the ads have been active for a while. I've tried changing the card but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. What should I do?

Make sure your payment card is working, remove any spending limits, and optimize your targeting; if it still doesn’t run, contact Facebook Support for a quick check and resolution.

Check your payment method, spending limit, and targeting; try running a small test campaign, and if it still doesn’t spend, contact Facebook Support to have them review your account.

Ever checked if your bank’s blocking the charge? Sometimes they flag Meta as suspicious. Also is your billing threshold set too low in Ads Manager?

This may be due to low account trust, your payment method is not highly rated by meta. If the bid or daily budget is too low, or the target is too narrow, the system will not push spending. It may also be due to sensitive content/field. There are cases where there is no official announcement but the BM is marked as risky, causing the ad to not run or run very slowly. Please check the distribution, use a real bank card, run a few small cameras first, low budget to create a stable spending history. Verify BM & account, with the stock and finance niche, you should do ads in the direction of education, sharing information, do not use keywords "profit, commitment, get rich quick". If it still does not work, prepare a new BM + new domain + new card

Brand new account or aged one?

We encountered this problem, you can try switching to another account.

There are three things you gotta check first: payment, targeting, and the ad account itself.
  • Payment: try a couple of different cards and give it some time.
  • Targeting: if it’s too narrow, Facebook’s algorithm can take ages to learn.
  • Ad account: sometimes the account itself is the problem, happens with both new and old ones. Best to hit up Facebook support first, then spin up a few test campaigns and wait it out

Is your account a new account? Don't worry if the account doesn't have any error messages, you can maintain that campaign for 24 hours, the account will start spending, and after 1-2 days the account will be stable.

If ads are enabled but not spent, it is usually due to: the account loses trust, the ads are limited in distribution, the target is too narrow or there is a problem with the payment history. Solution: use a reputable card, set a small budget that increases gradually, test simple, easy-to-approve ads to start the account, or create a new clean BM/account if the situation does not improve.

you can try restart the campaigns and run from the small budget to warm up the account first

create another ad on another page, increase campaign money, change payment card,...

Delete the campaign, change the card, then wait 2 hours and have the card to create a new campaign.
I often encounter this problem and solve it like this

Please check the page again to see if it is restricted? Because your account is a new account, if the account does not have any error messages, please maintain that campaign for 1-2 days, the account will start spending, while waiting you can request to try again with another advertising account.

I already tried running 2 test ads, $5 each, but after a while they just stopped spending. Do you know what could be the reason?

I think you should use the services of agencies; their ad accounts are more stable.

This is usually due to the trust of the account, not necessarily the card. If the account is new and has no regular spending history, it is easy to be squeezed. Solution: nurture the account for a few days with a small budget, run 'clean' content to build trust, then push it. In addition, divide the budget into many accounts to avoid depending on one account.
